Seeing as we're swapping to cloth I thought I'd look into washable wipes and found this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cheeky-Wipes-Kit-Reusable-Baby/dp/B002DKBLQM

It seems really expensive but I love the idea of it all being there ready and the different boxes and bags for clean and dirty.

I'm sure there are cheaper ways of doing it so wondering how you guys do it, how do you store them when at home and out and about?

i have a combination of Wee Notions wipes, Bum Genius , Ellas House (from my lovely secret santa ) and some that i have made myself....the ones i made myself are best for pooes as i used terry on one side and it gets the poo off really easily. i keep the other for wee's and drying  i have about 40..probably more :blush:which is waay too many tbh but i never run out which is a good thing :)

i store mine in a little basket on her set of draws and i just store them dry and wet as i use (i make up my solution in a bottle then wet it with that) i tried keeping them wet but i couldnt get on with it but its a case of what works for you.

once i've used them i just chuck em in with nappies in the pail or wetbag if out. Hope that helps some hun

Interested to see replies. We use flushable eco-wipes but I keep toying with the idea of starting on cloth wipes

OMG i certainly wouldnt be paying £35 for that either hun.....hang on..i'll get you a couple of links.....

I'd def have got them if it wasn't for the pricetag!!! Alternatives would be great!!

I've been meaning to get some 'proper' wipes for a while, but at the moment I use microfibre dusters cut up into squares. I keep them in a little clip lock tupperware box with chamomile tea and a bit of grapeseed oil as the wash. I just put the used ones in my wet bag when I'm out, and in the nappy bin when I'm in. I make a new batch up every morning when I boil livs water for the day. They do a pretty good job, and are lovely and soft on her bum!

I've just been looking around and there are some good deals about that include a wet bag  I fancy bamboo ones personally, all that natural anti-bacterial goodness.

Oooh, I was looking at the cotton ones...I was worried they would be a bit scratchy with my lack of tumble drier...what do you reckon?

Yeah, I've spotted the Pop-In ones and just been looking at Wee Notions. Cannot believe I have never looked at those before... I only went and looked at the nappies too! If you hadn't have said not to I wouldn't have, but you tempted me!!!!

How many wipes do you think we'd need if washing every other day? I'm assuming not 40!!

Thinking of maybe the weenotions ones for nappies and bumgenius ones for the rest so I can keep them separate...
