So two weeks ago when I had a miscarriage I thought this would be behind us and we could move on and start trying again. Went in for blood work Thursday and my levels went up from 3000 on mc day to 6000. Crap. So went in for an emergency Dr visit on Friday and ended up being admitted into the hospital to remove yet another ectopic pregnancy. Not how I had intended to spend my lunch hour that day. From the ultrasound they couldn't tell which tube it was...the good one, or the one that had been previously damaged from an ectopic 7 years ago.

Lucky for me it was the bad one and they removed my right tube to avoid this happening again. So now I'm down to one tube. As if its been easy for me to conceive the last three almost four years as it is, now I'm missing a piece of those important reproductive organs.

Get a call from the Dr today and asked her what the deal was with two weeks ago vs last week. Her answer: I had a miscarriage AND an ectopic pregnancy. Lucky me. This is crap. Why can't my body just work normal? Ugh! Its so frustrating!!!

Sorry for the book. I just didn't know this could happen!!

Oh gosh I'm so sorry you have been through such a rough time!!
Praying you get your rainbow baby soon! Xx

So sorry you're having such a rough time of it.

So sorry Hun, never heard of that before either!

Praying for you and your sticky rainbow xxx

I'm so sorry, I also only have 1 tube, I didn't have a miscarriage as well, but after my surgery to remove my tube my HCG rose again and I had to have the methotrexate shot as well, they said it very rarely happens but some pregnancy cells must have been left behind and they were duplicating but without an actual pregnancy, I was devastated, and lost all trust in my body

It will be ok, and your body adjusts really well to only having the one tube xxx

Well I didn't have the shot, so I'm sorry you had to go through both. I've heard it can be pretty rough. After AF shows back up my dr wants me to track ov for two months to ensure I'm ovulating again then putting me on clomid if I so choose...and dh and I so choose, so I'm hoping it helps us get at least one bundle of joy.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Its always nice to know you're not alone, even though I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Also congrats on the pregnancy. Always nice to know there is hope also. Do you know what you are having yet? You must be so excited!

So sorry love xoxo

My SIL had an ectopic at the same time was pregnant with twins. But they didnt know about the twins...couldnt figure out why her HCG kept going up after they removed her ruptured tube.

Scan says girl :) I'm excited but still nervous til she's here!

Ectopics are hard because they are physical and emotional, especially when you have surgery, it can take a while to be ok again, but I found it good to talk to people who had been in the same/similar situation

Will keep everything crossed for you :)

There's so many cute outfits for girls!

I'm glad they took the tube out this time. I'd hate to have to have a fourth surgery (the first one required two of them). I'm also finding out they're not nearly as uncommon as doctors lead you to believe. I'm finding much easier to talk about and feel less Depressed as well.

Our bodies are crazy things. So she was still pregnant after her surgery?

Yes, she was still pregnant after the tube removal. The girls are now 11 :)
