When are you meant to start giving your lo's water alongside milk. Is it when they start weaning?

we started giving Hannah water when she started having solids

i give Abigail water in a bottle now - water won't hurt them at all x

I was told not to give water to Sid when he was 2 months old but that was because he wasn't putting on weight and they wanted to make sure he had the milk. But now he's gaining ok i wondered if would be ok to give him on ounce now and then as i've noticed his soft spot is down in between feeds sometimes.

Would ask my health visitor but haven't been at home this week so haven't had the chance to go get him weighed etc

I was told that it was ok to give water in between feeds aslong as LO was putting on weight fine.
When my son was wee I use to give him water in a bottle if he was in his bouncey chair and I needed to get on... it kept him quiet for a bit, I also took some (boiled and cooled) out with me incase he got grouchy and it wasn't time for a feed yet.

He is now nearly 5 and still loves water
