Waters Breaking - Was there a build up

With my first my waters broke at the final stage of labour, big gush and then suddenly had to push and daughter was born 15 mins later, so much of it a cleaner was mopping up in the background! Second time round i tried a home birth but little man decided to poop before being born so had to go to hospital but had a lot of water, i mean loads!

Some of my friends and relatives waters have not broken until baby is being born though and some have only had a trickle. Everyone is different, i think i carry lots of water for some reason! xx

with my first mine broke when i was getting into bed at 11pm. i was halfway in and they just gushed out all over the bed. DH watched in horror as he though i was weeing on the bed! he started sniffing it lol and said oh no thats not wee! it kept coming so i stood in the bath for ages and had to sit on a towel in the car on the way to the hospital and it didn't stop coming until dd was born
