Hi Ladies,
I am looking for success stories of women who think weight loss helped them achieve their BFP. I was a LTTC'er (3 years) up until a year ago when I had bariatric surgery (weight loss) and had to go on contraception while I lost weight. In the last year I have lost ten and a half stone bringing me from a BMI of 51 down to a BMI of 28. Its been an amazing journey and my health has improved dramatically and although I am still losing weight (much slower now) and have about a stone to go to reach my target weight (set by myself) I have just had my contraceptive implant removed last week.
Previously DH and I had all the bloods ran, I was checked for PCOS etc and nothing was found to be causing us difficulty, however AF would go MIA for months on end, i had long cycles, could never pin point when or even IF i was ovulating etc. I have no idea how I am going to be this time round because I never had a period the whole time I was on the nexplanon. That said, I had it removed exactly a week ago and have been using OPK's for the last few days and this afternoon it was 'almost' positive so I am hopeful.
Anyways, I am looking to hear about others stories of weight loss and how it impacted on your cycles and fertility.
