Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Aaaargh! My BUTT hurts :growlmad: lol!

I found this image of pelvic muscles and ligaments that have to stretch...Yep. That explains it :haha:

So, today I woke up hearing someone on the couch moaning. Thought it might be my hubby because his back has been giving him fits. Nope, it was my son. He has a stomach virus. Unfortunately, so does my hubby. I ran up the hill (in my car :haha:) to the gas station to get them 7-up and crackers and then took my husband's day at the office. (Thursdays are his designated office days) While I was at the office, my daughter faithfully emptied the sick pans everytime someone got sick, acted as a human remote control because our plastic one is broken, did her schooling without me reminding, and did our laundry without being asked. She is awesome! and I really appreciate her.

Good thing you are NTNP at the moment...poor dh :nope: You probably wont Ov again until, like, the ... 20th or so?

I had to go back and look at my chart to see when I would O. :haha: Yeah, probably around the 20th or 21st. Not sure that I want to get preggo this month because I would be due around the 15th of July and I have to be 3-4 states away on June 27th. So I'm not too sure that would work out too well. Having said that, I would probably jump up and down for joy if I did get pregnant and take the chance. There are good hospitals where we would be traveling. :winkwink:

How are you feeling?

I am feeling good, tired and achy but my spirits are good  lol! The worst part at this point is the terrible stretching of my hips and pelvis...and not being able to sleep in any position that seems beneficial :haha: The having to be patient is irritating too but what can a gal do? I have not been trying any real home induction methods as I have been reading threads where ladies literally try everything for weeks and weeks...then when the baby is born they say "Yay! My induction methods worked!" lol, no, I think babes came when (s)he was good and ready! :haha: I tried tons of stuff with my 2nd dd and she just came when she wanted to...so even though we have the classic walking, bd'ing, fresh pineapple eating...it's all beneficial on many levels and still no baby  so......:coffee: lol!

One thing to bear in mind about getting pregnant (if you do get prego this month) is plans always change one way or another and often for th ebetter  God's got ya covered! :hugs: How's the dh and ds? Hope they are getting better and you aren't all getting sick :nope: Poor Ali is sick too :nope:

Ali- how are ya lady? Getting better I hope! Stay in bed if you can and rest, drink plenty of fluids, yada yada yada, you know the drill! Hug your pups, cuddles help :hugs:

Terry- :hi: Watching that chart! I'm gonna check in the morning and see if temps went up yet......

Jess- where are you? :growlmad: I miss Jess :sad2:

Babywhisperer- wheer are you at? Everyone is MIA!

Babydust-.......? Where are you??

Alin-......?

Terry- aha! I forgot it's morning where you live!~ :happydance: I checked your chart...sop far on it's way up...maybe ovulation sign? Will have to see if it keeps up

Why is it a mother can spend half hour scrubbing the bathroom top to bottom, cleaning the toilet, throwing away junk, organizing tub-toy box, folding clean towels, hanging new towels, replacing tub mat, washing mirrors, cleaning the sink, etc.......and in a matter of 3 minutes two little girls (they're LITTLE!) can totally destroy it? I'm talking toothpaste on my shower curtains, toothpaste on the mirrors (just at kid level, lol), toothpaste on the floor () towels wadded and tossed everywhere- and all of them wet- tub toys scattered and I can't find the toy box they belong in, my lotions are scattered across the floor, the sink is a disaster area...

AFM-

Hi ladies :hi: do you all remember me complaining about Dingbat? :haha: Well believe it or not he called our home the other night and demanded to know if I had had my baby yet! When I politely told him "no" he jumped my case and basically told me to "Sh#! or get off the pot" and that I should consider induction to get "the ball rolling". I mean- is he SERIOUS? Wth does he think he is? It's like he really does havea complex and thinks he's God or something  I gave the phone to dh and walked away  UnbelIEVABLE!

Oh, my! Who DOES he think he is????

Ali - sorry you have to go back to the daily grind. Hope you enjoyed your vaca though. :flower:

Terri - I forget if I've asked (and I probably have, so forgive the repeat question) have you ever tried herbs to get your cycles to regulate? I used a mixture of herbs in a tea, and it really shortened my cycles. I think the main herb was vitex or agnus cactus - it's the same thing, but goes by different names.

Jess - life is treating me fine. :flower: but we've been busy. This Sunday I am preaching at the two Methodist churches in our county, as they are without a pastor right now. That will be fun. I really enjoy the people in those congregations - our churches do quite a bit together.

AFM - My sliced finger is healing well. I did find a pair of gloves I can wear while doing dishes, so that helped. The meetings went well and it was nice to get away and spend time with other pastors.
AF definitely made her appearance! And that's fine. It really didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I have been cramping really bad, though.

My kids spent the night with some of our friends who also homeschool so they could make it to basketball practice. When we picked them up from practice, my daughter and two of her friends were really upset. I guess at practice, one of the player's husband came in place of his wife (the wife is 17 or 18, and he is 19. They had a baby early last year and got married) because she couldn't make it. While the coach was busy with the smaller girls, this guy started getting rough with the older girls, poking them in the stomach, hitting them in the face and chest with the basketball, and tried to 'box out' with my daugher, and wanted her to 'box out' with him. Um NO!
I called the coach to let her know what happened. I wasn't the only mother who had called. She informed me he wouldn't be there again. I told her if he was, that my DD would just sit down and not particpate, and if he tried to touch her in anyway that she had my permission to flatten him! :ninja::gun::ninja: :grr::grr:

As you suggested Coy, I have continued to do my OPKs, seeing as my temps haven't changed. I do 2 tests, one with the lines and the smiley. Well, smiley said no, but the other had a second line quite quick. Gonna pounce this evening, then guess what? Hubby is off on a diving holiday again for the weekend, it'll be about 5 hours away, so again, won't be coming back for any bding. Grrrrr. I wonder if this will be it or not.

Well you better pounce then! :haha: What's up with that dh? :growlmad: lol! Yes, I was looking at your chart this morning and I see FF hasn't given you crosshairs yet so wondering if you are approaching a second surge? Getting close if the lines are showing dark....can you post pics of the test? I wanna mental comparison to the line pics I used...I always had a heckuva time figuring them out. I love the smileys! The only lthing I liked about the IC strips (besides the cheapie part :haha:) is that they gave me some forewarning to the actual surge!

OK, as requested, here's a pic of yesterdays OPK. I only took the photo this morning though, but it hasn't really changed. I'll be testing again later, even though Hubby has now left for the weekend.

Def looks like you may be on an upward surge agin...Don't worry about dh being gone, sometimes it takes several days to build to a good strong surge! I don't recognize these strips...what brand are they?

Hi Coy,

I don't know what brand they are, they're just cheap ones I got from eBay, the company is HomeHealthUK.

I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed for my Hubby, but his trip has been cancelled due to the bad weather. He got half way there before getting the phone call, so him and the 2 people he was travelling with are stopping near where they had got to and doing some quarry diving instead, so I'll see him again tonight. Hopefully I'll get another dark line again today.:happydance::sex::happydance::bfp::baby::rofl:

Well, I would be happy..... because it means more :sex: !!! I don't know too many men who wouldn't be happy to :sex: ..... I'd say it's a good compromise!

I really hope this is your month!

Thanks Philomena, I'll be testing again when I get home from work, but I'll be pouncing anyway! LOL!

Good morning all! I think this is the last day of AF so that is awesome! What are the tips and tricks I need for this month?? I'm cutting back caffeine...crazy hard! I read something about mucinex??? What about pre-seed?? All tips wanted!!:)

Good morning everyone! :hi:

I just wanted to check in...my thesis has kidnapped me and is currently holding me hostage. Last night my bf made me take some time away from the desk. We watched the football game together (love it!)! It would have been a perfect night for a little bd'ing...but I fell asleep before anything happened!! :saywhat: :sad2: ...and he just let me sleep!! It was a sweet gesture...at least he recognizes how tired I have been...very little sleep trying to get everything done for graduation. But this is one time I would not have cared a single bit if he woke me up for some Horizontal Mombo!!
Oh well...I am sure everything will get back to normal after I graduate...

Coy...is that little angel of yours here yet? What is she waiting on!?! :)

Ali...I saw a post on FB that you are sick. Sounds like the flu!! Get better soon!!

JandK...sorry about the BFN. I am not sure where you are in your cycle, but maybe it was too early?

Babydust and Babywhisperer...how is life treating ya'll?

Phil...how are you feeling?

Terri...when are you testing again?

OK...well, I will talk to ya'll again real soon...I hope! ;)

~~Jess ...#theThesisWriter...project Graduation December 15, 2012 at 2pm!!

Babydust - I use Pre-Seed with Instead cups, pre-seed is amazing, but believe me, you won't need anywhere near the amount they suggest, I usually put about half an inch in the tube, thats all. I've not heard of Mucinex. I always drink decaf coffee and tea anyway, so I can't tell you if they help anything. I can see the link to your chart and it works if thats what you are aiming for. I can't remember what I did to make it show and image of the chart.

JandK - sorry about the BFN

Jess - hopefully you manage to get some :sex: in today, sometimes we just have to be blunt and tell them exactly what we require of them. I told Ian last week that I had a smiley face, so if he's asleep when I get home, I'll wake him and if he's called out to work, when he gets back, he is to wake me up!

Coy - Still waiting?

Everyone else :hi:

Hi ladies :hi:

Jess- great to hear from you! Rest if ya can!

Babydust- Yay! I get to give ADVICE! lol! I love it! :) Anyway- preseed is a good idea if you have trouble with sticky cm, no cm, et cetera, as it gievs the :spermy: a hospitable place to live longer and allows sperm to travwel through the cervix without getting caught and stuck to die there. On Mucinex. K. The key ingredient here is guiffennessin (sp) and it comes in a form of liquid robitussin too but you want to avoid all the junk that comes with it. Guiffennessin thins bronchial secretians (makes mucus thin) but it just so happens to thin out all mucus secretions--includign cervical secretions. So if you take it daily starting now- end of AF- it will help with CM issues. You can get a 12 hour tablet too a generic form of guiffennessin (sp). Caffeine...I would avoid it altogther including chocolate as I am not sure how much caffeine it takes to kill the project IYKWIM. I cut cold turkey for the days of fertility just in case. I know it's hard though! You're tough! Try hot nesquick....Oh, and do not drink any teas with Hiiscus in them- hibiscus can actually cause early mc from what I have read. What else....Oh yeah...:sex: lol! At least the 2-3 days before Ov and the day of maybe and the day after got ya covered

Terry- I would definately be happy! Thta's dh's problem, you just need his :spermy: lol! :hugs: On the time-table God gave us women we need every advantage we can get! :haha:

AFM- I am irritable and tired today :growlmad: I got to bed about 1 a.m. then Kat woke me 5-6 times up to 5 a.m....then I couldn't sleep until about 6:30 and got up at 8:30. So I am verrrrry not happy today :growlmad: I got up and made dh breakfast then managed to get myself kicked out of the bathroom twice already just trying to shower and get my hair brushed! Aaaargh! We NEED 2 bathrooms  lol! :loo: Anyway, Kat is on my naughty list today so she better be super good! :haha:

Re:babes. Felt some pains last night that kept me awake, woke me, etc, but no rythm and didn't come back :sadangel: lol! My hips still hurt but I am finding a bath or massage helps a lot- walking helps too for a bit

Gotta plan my day...School, I think, maybe ... a nap!

Hmmmmph, I'm sad again now, Hubby has decided to stay down in Bristol, where he's been diving today, so we won't get any :sex: in. I've told him off!!!! LOL!
