Thanks Ali and Babydust, I wish I could rush it through, but I think the only way would be to go private, which to be honest, will be a struggle moneywise.
A friend of mine, who has PCOS, was put on Metformin and she got preg on her first cycle using it, so fingers crossed, something may be done. It'll be tight timewise as I'm due to start AF on the same day as the Ultrasound, so as soon as I know if thats what it is, I'll have to go see Doc and insist on him giving me something like that as I know things like Clomid are usually taken from the 2nd, 3rd or 5th day of AF, for a few days, but I'm not sure when you would take Metformin.
I'm going to start with FertiliTea as soon as AF arrives, which will hopefully help too. I'm due a shorter cycle soon though, as they're not all 80+ days.
I understand the stress it would take on your finances! I wouldn't be able to do IVF without my parents help!
Metformin is something you take daily, there is no start/end date, you just start taking it and continue to do so. Each Dr is different, but they may opt for you to keep taking it during your pregnancy (some say to stop, but others say to keep taking it). It is actually a type II diabetes medication, but helps women with PCOS by improving their insulin resistance, which in turn lowers the androgens (male hormones), which inturn regulates your female hormones, and helps you ovulate!
