Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Men have thicker hair than women too. When they let their hair grow long makes women jealous :haha: Does he still play? Eric's uncle has a day job but has been in a band since he was a teenager.

No he no longer does...he used to sing :) and dance. I have pics of him in his "big hair" days, lol! crazy times!! I know! Men and hair-- and eyelashes :grr: lol

I still feel crappy, but my grey hair is gone! :yipee:
The stylist loves my hair, and says the color matches my green eyes!
So Phil? How are you doing?
How is everyone else? I think everyone is sick now!
I'm going to bed now.. night ladies!

How are you ladies today? Ali you should post a pic with your new hair colour. I have a few greys showing but I just coloured before the holidays. :haha:

oops it won't let me post the link but if you type Dancing into labor on Youtube. Her Youtube channel is GabeandJess

Maybe I'll post a picture on FB of my new hair. I haven't even washed it yet.. having a cleaning day around here. Just trying to get things done now that I'm feeling marginally better. No headaches yet today.. YAY! Plus the achy back and the nausea and dizziness seem to have gone away. Hopefully to stay!

So I was reading about NK cells, and it sounds like they are normally good things to have in your body. They keep you from getting the flu, and cold and also help kill cancer. So if I have an elevated number of them, I'm happy I do, but the bad thing is that they also kill any foreign body including embryos! So if I do end up with elevated NK cells, we will have to suppress my immune system to make them less effective for my pregnancy. This is something that Angel might need to do as well. AHHH.:wacko: Still have to wait to hear the official word from the Dr on the 18th.

Until then, I think work and my house will keep me busy, and getting this body back into some form of shape will be a good idea!

Phil - any updates?

Ali they tested you for autoimmune also right? There are so many autoimmune issues people have and don't even know it. I have elevated ANA which is immune related but other than celiac disease they couldn't pinpoint anything like lupus which alot of my cousins have. Rheumatogist said it will eventually come out as I get older. HE apologized for not being more helpful other than take painkillers when it flares up and stick to the gluten free diet.

Hello ladies

Ali. Post a pic of your hair. We would love to see it

So my prescription for prenatal vitamins cost 135 a month!!!!! With insurance it is 45 a month. Holy cow!!!!!! Does anyone take prenatals???? The pharmacists said they are good vitamins, but do I need them when my bloods are normal????? Did the 3 day test. Nurse said my bloods were "normal". Im getting a copy tomorrow hopefully. Water sono tomorrow. Fun :(

Yes the prescription ones are too expensive samsfan. I asked my ivf nurse if I could use over the counter ones instead and she said that was fine as long as they had 800 mg of folic acid and 300 mg calcium. I take Brainstrong and they are in a pack with DHA softgels. They are easy to digest. They range from $16-18 :)
The ones I took when I was pregnant were prescribed and they made me sick to my stomach and were difficult to swallow!

I agree with Never...prescription vitamins are too expensive and needlessly so- I use the OTC prenatals, it's all pretty much the same  I have to keep taking them while I am breastfeeding.

What is a water sono?

Hey all so sorry for the MIA the last week+. I was busy over New Year's and then got very sick with a bad cold and a fever that got to over 103!! So needless to say I haven't been temping in a few days or reading posts. I have a lot to catch up on! What did I mis? What did I miss?? Phil have her baby? Coy preggers with #4? Ali? Angel? Jess? Samsfan? Firsttry? Terri? Twotogo? Never?

I will try o catch up, just resting on the couch coughing and hoping I'm better for tomorrow. I missed 2 days of work last week and my boss is being a d--k about it.

Miss you ladies!!!

Thanks Never and Coy!!! I was shocked. My obgyn prescribed them.

A water sono is a test(sonogram) to determine whether my uterus has an scar tissue or endo or any other issues. I heard it is uncomfortable Hope its not too uncomfortable.

Never - yes they are testing for all autoimmune issues.. just need to wait for the tests to come back!

Samsfan - my OB gave me an RX for some prenatals but they gave me a really upset stomach. I ended up getting the Vitafusion gummies, they taste good and have the recommended amounts of all the vitamins you need. I think the issue between the different vitamins is in how they absorb, the more expensive ones probably absorb into your body better. Personally, I would rather eat healthily, and take a prenatal that doesn't upset my stomach then feel icky all the time! BTW the prenatal gummies are about $10 a bottle that lasts 45 days. Oh and they have DHA in them.

The water sono, or HSG is a little uncomfortable, but it will give your FS a looksie into your uterus, and make sure it is the right shape, free of any fibroids, polyps or any other bad things, and also see if your tubes are open. Take some Advil or Aleve before your test, it will make it a little easier to handle. Also wear loose fitting clothes, you will be bloated for a few days post HSG. That water needs to go somewhere! It will get absorbed by your body, but it takes a couple of days.

BabyWhisperer - welcome back, I hope you are starting to feel better! Your boss needs to take a chill pill, he should be glad you stayed home and didn't infect the rest of the office. Maybe you can bottle some germs and dump it on his computer or phone :haha: then when he is feeling ill he'll realize that you can't work when you are sick! I'm kidding, but when are bosses going to realize that when you are sick you need to steer clear of others, so that it doesn't spread! UGH. My office is great about that.. you just have to sneeze and you are being escorted out of the office! I don't think you have missed much. Phil is still pregnant, but that could change at any moment. Coy is trying to figure out her cycle so she WON'T have baby #4 quite yet. Samsfan is getting the initial testing done to see determine her protocol should she decide to do an IVF. I'm :coffee: waiting for all my blood work results. They did autoimmune, clotting and NK testing to see what is causing me to have repeated implantation failure. I get the results on the 18th.

While I have managed to have a shower, my hair is in a bun.. I'm trying to get cleaning and laundry and work and dog washing and picture hanging done! I'll see what I can do about getting you all a picture! LOL!

OK here is a picture I just took.. now don't laugh as my hair is a mess.. I didn't brush it, and its all funky from being up in a bun, but at least you can see the color, and possibly my green eyes? UGH.. I have to do something about those wrinkles around my eyes! :haha: "This is 40" :haha:

Ali your hair colour looks great! I tried getting that colour a year ago but mine came out reddish but yours is the colour I was after. I have too much red pigment in my brown hair.

Hey spell check on here keeps underlining colour when I type it :haha: but that is how they teach us to spell it in Barbados. I know Americans spell it color.
