Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

:saywhat: Like, am I the only one on here?....:saywhat: where's my buddies?! :sad2: lol.....

Ali- I seriously hope you are out clothes shopping! Buy something with sparkles on it (I love fringe and sparkles :cloud9:) LOL!

Jess- what are you up to today? Resting? working hard? Both?

Terri- gonna go diving soon?

Ladies- :hi:

Yay! I am almost done with my ssignment. Guess therapy is not so bad.....

Hey, I'm still here, I sent Hubby off on his own to do his diving as I'm still not feeling 100%. I'll only be sat watching people learning to dive and Ian pointing them in the right direction, so I'd have been reading a lot.

I'm tired now though as its gone 22:30. I'm more of a morning person, so I'm getting tired. My head hurts too much to sleep, but I should really go and put my head down for a while.

Night all. :sleep::sex::sleep::rofl:

Night Terri! Take some Tylenol and rest

I've not heard of Tylenol, except on here. Don't think we have it in the UK.

Oh and in 50 Shades its mentioned to help with the er..... pains!

This will be a random post, but I'm so excited. I have EWCM for the first time! Only a little, but it's something. I wonder if it's the evening primrose oil or the B vitamins.

I hope this is the real deal. Heading home to see DH now ;)

:yipee: that is great! Guess you'll be doing some BD'ing tonight :)

Ali- thanks for the education! Stimming huh....makes sense I just didn't put it all together! :haha: And yeah, I guess when they retrieve your eggs would be Ov day. Ooohhh next Tuesday?~! :happydance: :headspin: Maybe I'll get to be a bnb Auntie soon! :headspin:

Yes, take care of yourself- and kudos for quitting smoking  ! My dh quit cold turkey and said that is the easiest way for him. his was years ago of course when prego with our first dd. Hm. Sounds like you already eat pretty healthy, a pizza obnce in a while is okay, just not all the time (that;'s what I tell my girls :haha:) Take me for instance. Guess what I had for lunch? Yep. I am ashamed. ...A bacon sandwich. I very rarely eat bacon but when I do...I do. LOL! I just hit the :ignore: button once in a while.

MMMM.. I LOVE BACON! It is the most awesome meat in the world. Just wish I could eat it daily and not pay the consequences!

Tylenol = Paracetamol, at least I think that is what you call it over there!

Ladies- :hi:

I think you are procrastinating!! so many posts, seems to me you were doing anything BUT your assignment. Although I do see that you posted that it was almost done :yipee:

I did go out clothes shopping and was not overly successful. Even the store I was hoping to be successful at was picked over and my size was unavailable. I did find some kelly green (bright green) capris and a green and white striped shirt to go with. Whole outfit for $25. I also got some navy capris, which I can wear with other clothes I already own. I was hoping for some khaki ones, but there were none to be found  Then I went grocery shopping and have made paella, it is in the oven now. Hopefully it turns out OK!

Ali- what is paella? I'm going to google it :haha:

I was not procrastinating  On the contrary when I multi-task my brain thinks better and I work faster. My technique includes at least 5 different on-line pages being pulled up. 3 are research pages, one is school, the other is bnb. Then I pull up 2-3 Word Docs which I use to format my paper. Then I get a conversation going on bnb, one with one of my children, start cooking a meal for the family, start budgeting for the week and- voila! Before I know it my assignment is completed :haha:

It's a fail-safe plan...works everytime :laugh2: In fact I have been done for an hour or so now and just lounging on the couch eating apples :smug: lol!

Re: your outfits. I love kelly green! Nuts for not having them in your size though- what kinda store is this :growlmad: ? lol! Awesome that you are able to work in casual clothes. When I was a manager we had to wear a uniformed look which included khaki slacks and a black and red top  Well there I was getting introuble with my DM because I didn't have khaki pants to fit! Hey- I am in a tiny little rural town with one store that sells pants. Jeans. Period. :haha: And I was 7 months preggo- no maternity khaki's anywhere

Paella is a spanish dish, made with rice, tomatoes, peas, and any kind of meat you have around. I used chicken sausage tonight. It turned out pretty good, and now I have leftovers, YAY!

Kelly Green is kind of fun, and the t-shirt is fun too. I will probably wear it tomorrow :) I went to Bealls, its a Florida department type store, and it carries clothes for the Florida climate all year round. That is why I went there, as everyone else is selling winter clothes now. I'm like its still 90 degrees out, I do not want a wool sweater and corduroys! I'd bake wearing that! So capris in darker colors and short sleeved shirts in fall colors is about as close to fall/winter clothes as I get. So it wasn't that they didn't have my size, it was more that they were totally picked over and my size was missing. I tried a pair of capris one size bigger and they must have fit really large, because I felt like I could fit 2 of me in the pants! :haha: So maybe I would have had to go 2 sizes down, but they didn't have that size either :( I tried JC Penney too, but they didn't have any that looked comfortable. UGH.

My lower back is totally killing me. I think I will clean up the kitchen, pack my work bag and go to bed.

I understand the multi-tasking thing. It helps me sometimes too! I end up getting the tasks I don't want to get done finished because I am doing 2-3 things that I DO like doing at the same time! Glad you got your assignment done, and are currently relaxing and chowing on apples (a healthy snack)!!!

Hm. Strange. I am currently NOT totally exhausted  I am a bit tired but not too bad, you know? I don't think it has anything to do with not working in the garage, or out in the heat, or even my sleep- I got 7 hours last night with only one bathroom trip! But I think what I can attribute it to is the bacon.

Yep. Pretty sure it was the bacon. :haha:

Mmmm, paella soudns good then! I have never had chicken sausage though

Def get your bag packed and rest woman! You need it!

Who knew that bacon was the cure-all for everything  It sure is yummy!

Thanks, Ali & Coy! Hopefully this will be the month. FX'd.

Ali- def go get the capris!! Capris must be to you what jeans are to me-- I am dying to buy a pair of jeans right now :nope: but I nkow it would be just a few short weeks then they'd never fit me again  But it counts for a lot to feel good about yourself and that includes image. So go pick out an awesome pair!

Re: your comment "That is my biggest priority right now. To go through each and every closet and cupboard and get rid of the excess (donate or trash). " Ahem. You want I should come over? :bodyb: LOL! Sorting and throwing is my current specialty! I love throwing stuff away. The other day when dh came back from hauling a truckload to the local dump I was a bit peeved that he BROUGHT STUFF BACK with him :growlmad: So I just break everything now :haha: So satisfying!

K. Today is crunch time, gotta get my assignment done. I diid a ton of research last night though, so shouldn't be too bad. Therapy is not my fortay (sp) I'd rather do a paper on hardened criminals :haha: But therapy has a lot to do with rehabilitation, I know, I know...So get down and study, right?! And I have to stop looking for distractions.........:laugh2:

Btw..pet peeve of the day : Someone forces you to constantly repeat something that "they didn't hear" the first 4 times. When you raise your voice they get offended and snap "Don't yell at me!":growlmad:

:saywhat: Guess I'll go get a pen and pad and write it out next time...sheesh...lool!

Yes, capris are like your jeans. Basically what I wear everyday. Mostly because it is so hot down here. Maybe I will get some that are baggy on me now, that way I can wear them for a few months into my pregnancy. I just hate to buy clothes that will not fit me in a few months! But it is getting a little mission critical as I do need to have clothes to wear to work! Naked is not an option

Yes! Yes! Yes! Please come visit and help me sort through all the stuff I have. My Mom usually helps me, but she is much like your DH and can't part with anything! That is a great idea, if you break it then he won't bring it home! LOL! Course then you can't donate it either.

OHH.. and just for fun I took my fasting blood sugar this morning, I was kind of worried that I might be borderline diabetic, but it was a perfect 94. YAY! I've also finally quit smoking, double YAY! Now to tackle my less than perfect diet.

Congrats on quitting smoking, Ali! That's awesome :wohoo:

Good Evening everyone...or should I say "anyone"...:haha:

First off let me say ALI...I WANT SOME PAELLA !! (did I even spell it right?) It sounds yummy! Og and great job on kicking the smoking habbit! That is terrific!

Coy...I am glad to hear that you got some rest. Only one trip to the bathroom, huh? Woo hoo!

FirstTry...I have heard a lot about the evening primrose but not so much about vitamin B. But hey, you can bet that I am going to give it a try this coming cycle.

AFM...I have had an uneventful day...I went to the gym (did 40 minutes of spin, an arm workout,:bodyb: and ran 2.5 miles). Then I got home and got ready to cook, but BF surprised me and said he was taking me to lunch before we headed to my parents house. :happydance: We went to TGIFriday's ...
I had to do a little shopping because DS needed some stuff for school. I also gave him his new saxaphone. (New to us) He loves it and I am super mom once again. Usually super status is reserved for my BF (so glad they get along so well!) and my dad. But today, I had super status!!:happydance:
When we got home I had to wash clothes (BF helped!!) and then I decided to cook dinner for tomorrow!! I love being ahead of the game!
So, my temperature didn't drop this morning like I thought it would. I was tempted to test but I didn't. Even though I made it to CD 28 (Last month it was only 26) I have been spotting the brown stuff for a few days now. So, I am going to give it a bit more before I test. I don't "feel" pregnant.

Jess- wow, that doesn't really sound all that uneventful...sounds like you've had aday full! Yay for being super mom! :happydance: It's always nice isn't it :hugs: Wow, and a saxaphone- does he play well and holds an interest? That's awesome. One of dh's former step-sons started a rock band and managed a few opens...opened for Keanu Reeves Dog Star band a few times  then that wa sit. But I think music talent is pretty amazing  Kudos to you for encouraging it!~

Hey, what's up with your BF being super too? :growlmad: LOL! Taking you to lunch, washing laundry...hmm....my dh did issue a very mild and distracted back rub this evening... I was sitting next to him and he didn't even realize he was doing it so I just sat reaaallly still and tried not to let him in on the fact :haha: Silly me  The girls have this routine where they demand cuddle time with dad in bed just before they go to bed at night. It's aweosme though, he tells them stories and stuff and I get to vacuum the living room and wash dinner dishes without being trampled by children! lol...they are all asleep now, and I have a load of laundry ready to dry.

Paella does sound good, wonder what Ali's recipe is? Oh that reminds me- dh laughed hard at my milk problem today :growlmad: He said it was my body trying to encourage me to drink tons of the stuff in order to gain (and I quote) "Globulars". :growlmad: This is his word since pregnancy #1 lol, to describe my thighs and backside :haha: during pregnancy. Silly man. I told hiim I was fighting the craving. I do try very hard to eat healthy but I would soooo eat a cheesecake right now if I had it!

Jess- btw, I meant to mention that I have been tracing your chart and yeah- your temp is right up there, 97.9 is awesome. I don't blame you for not temping (that's some serious discipline lady!) with the mild spotting but I wonder.......it could be a bfp you know! :hugs: You're on CD29 from what I can tell, or 28. Hm....can't wait to see it tomorrow!

I can't sleep!

Jess.. you need to :test: tomorrow if AF didn't show.. I'm praying that she doesn't!

My recipe was just what I had on hand really.. a chicken sausage, cup of rice, can of diced tomatoes, bag of frozen peas, chicken broth, saffron, applewood smoke rub and paprika. I have added chicken drumsticks, shrimp and any other shellfish in the past. Paella is kind of like jambalaya, either one is flavorful and somewhat healthy. That is why I opted for the chicken sausage, it has all the flavor of regular pork sausage with 1/2 the fat!

I really need to get some rest.. my scan and bloodworm is at 8:45 tomorrow morning and it's already 1:15am! :growlmad:
Guess I'm too excited!
