Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

AFM- well, I have been getting some lazy time! OMG I slept until 9 a.m, today  And yesterday almost 10! Usually I am up way earlier than that...but without so much junk demanding my immediate attention I rest better. Our county has been under this bad-air alert (severe) because of all of the forest fires. The smoke is horrible, they are telling to people to stay inside especially if they have asthma, etc. Makes it very tough as we are all red, puffy, and itchy eye'd! O well, I am one big sneeze today.....and no baby yet  Wth? My doc is back in town so I am ready!

Today- I think I'll try to finish organizing the garage just for something to do.

Ali- hey, it's not drama :growlmad: lol, I still think you're pregnant  See, BabyWhisperer saw it too- not just me! :smug: Time, time, everything takes time- right? As far as reading too much in to that one test--NEVER! Oh, I hope you saved the FRER because that invisi-line might have gotten dark enough to notice by now :) My frers (YES< I saved them  lol) always got darker over time  Just a thought.... Re: your annoying co-worker. Um, Ali? STOP BEING SO NICE. :haha:

TwoToGo- yay!for a washing machine! Mine went on the fritz last year (?) or the year before (my brain ) and we ended up buying one from Lowes- only cost like $200.00 and they delivered it for us! Sweeeeeeet, so beats handwashing!

BabyWhisperer- lol @ your dh! Mature? Drinking in excess? Maybe he just blows off steam...um, right? Sometimes it is just as hard for us to understand men as it is impossible for them to understand us! :haha: As long as he comes home, and uh, gives you what you demand

FirstTry- how are ya lady?! :hi:

Jess- thanks on the vote for crazy-busy-ness! Yes, I find it very difficult to do nothing. I did go out and get some sparkly nail polish yesterday, I was thinking "maybe I'll put that on" and just laze around, etc etc....But it drives me nuts, and I know here is Ali telling me to relax- ALI? Telling someone to relax?? Relax is not in Ali's vocabulary  She is one of the busiest ladies I know! :hugs: You too with all your working out, your job, and your school plus parenting-your days off sound like a muscular work-out nightmare to me! Nuts for the temp drop! :gun: If this is AF though you are right- have BF get his SA done and maybe decide what the next step is. It's all positive though as you are gearing in the right direction with each turn every month. What sucks for us women is it takes a whole danged month! :growlmad: Each month gives us 6-12 hours of work time!

And where in heck is Terri??!

Oh he better! Yeah it's him blowing off steam, talking about stuff w/ the boys that he can't with me, and he likes to go out way more than I do. He feels antsy if we spend the whole weekend in. He's also 2.5 yrs younger. He also is shorter than me 5'7 and he tries to go toe-to-toe w/ his friends that have 6inches and some have 50lbs on him. Silly boy.

Coy, you never cease to amaze me. Always so funny, you literally make me LOL sometimes, or perhaps even  I am very good at relaxing, but I am a busy person too. I try to live by the mantra live hard play hard(er). HEHE. It is difficult to just lie down and do nothing isn't it? When I do, my mind wanders and I think about all the things I need to do, and then I have anxiety about doing those things. So then I figure its better to get up and do those things instead of having the anxiety! :dohh: When is your next Dr's appointment?

Jess, so sorry about the spotting, that is just not right. I was so hoping that this was yours/our month! Drat. Thanks so much for your praying, I really do hope this is my month, if it isn't its pretty much the end of the line for me  I love your comment that God will give me my baby or babies just so he can have some peace and quiet! :haha: I'm with Coy, at least now your BF will go with you and get some testing done. That will help you guys a lot.

Coy...my temp drop did not go below my coverline...I wonder if that makes a difference? It is still in the "high" range for my body and not the temp di that comes with AF.
AF is not due until Sunday or Monday. But like I said...pink stuff on my toilet tissue... :( ...I just don't get it...I thought timing was perfect this month...

Jess- hm, great point, I was checking out your chart and yeah- you're still way above the coverline so shouldn't be AF- plus, as you say, it is early by what- a week or so? That pink could be (I'll say it, as we are all thinking it!) IB...In fact, after I got my bfp I did notice pink tinged cm and didn't know what to make of it. What is yur cm like atm? Oh, and I was going to ask- FF may have your ov dates wrong but either way you are at least 9 dpo right? Somewhere int here? Have you tested yet?

Rest up and stay inside. Sleeping is very good as you need to save your strength and be ready for GO TIME! We had some forest brush this Summer too, but then we got a ton of rain and crazy storms.

So I have tried to attach my chart, can you see it?

Ali- that's exactly what I do- I obsess about what I have to get done and what I could accomplish with my time and if I am not doing it, well, I just can't relax!

Jess- I have been reading up on exercise and pregnancy. I found this one article that is interesting- how much truth is behind it  I do know when I was working out hard and working (at work) hard I had extreme difficulty getting pregnant and even lost my AF for a while. Here is part of the article. (emphasis added).

https://fitness.mercola.com/sites/fitness/archive/2012/04/06/vigorous-exercise-delays-pregnancy.aspx

" But among normal-weight women, higher levels of vigorous exercise -- such as running on a treadmill for an hour five days a week -- appeared to make it harder to conceive, as it led to delays in becoming pregnant. It's long been known that strenuous exercise can cause disturbances to a woman's monthly cycle, leading to a lack of ovulation and menses, along with other fertility problems.
This is particularly common among competitive female athletes and marathon runners.
....... suggested high-intensity exercise might also disturb implantation (when a fertilized egg attaches to the uterus).
I am not trying to discourage your competitive nature, just trying to pinpoint reasons for a delay in bfp (unless you are already prego :happydance:) I can't wait for you to test!!! I am just wondering- as they mention here 5 hours a week high intenisty and I know you are probably doing that in a day and half! (or a day?)

BabyWhisperer- NUTS! I can't see your chart, I get a red X :growlmad: Yay btw for charting!!! And I have to admit, I have been enjoying resting more and not having the great demand for my time...I may "meander" into the garage today though  but nothing heavy. And I know right? I have to get ready for Go Time as you aptly called it! Believe me it has been on my mind a lot lately! :)

Can I just say that I hope this cramping is baby implanting and not AF? I have been cramping for 3 days now, and its changed subtly today its more like ovulation pains. That with a tiny bit of nausea. Not pronounced, just that feeling like if you smell something that is off, it might make you gag? That kind of strange feeling.

OK so here is my latest rant..

I was looking at that link I sent this morning, with the stages after a 5 day transfer:

One The blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell
Two The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus
Three The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation
Four Implantation continues
Five Implantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop
Six Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream
Seven Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Eight Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Nine Levels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy

So if hCG isn't even entering the blood stream until 6dp5dt (day 6) then how on earth do people get :bfp: on day 5? Does that mean that they are just ahead of the curve and that little embryo implanted earlier? Or finished earlier? I don't get it. I mean why make a stages document if its not accurate? GEESH!

Now that rant makes sense! I agree with you- there is something not accurate about that article. I would just stick with the idea that each woman is different- it may take hours or a day or two difference in each woman I think. Otherwise we would all get absolute bfp's or bfn's ont he same days always. I am not an expert though on ET'ing....But I think you are smack on about the days. I was going to ask- did oyu mention any of the cramoing at your appointment today? It all sounds bfp'ish to me- the nausea bit, etc. This is an awful lot for your body to underatke, it stands to reason you are going to feel some effects from it.

Yes, I mentioned the cramping I've had for the past few days, and she smiled and said cramping is a good thing! Told me to relax and just wait it out. :growlmad: That is like asking me not to eat for a week! Impossible! :haha: I am happy though I have lost most of my bloating! I only have 5 lbs more to go before I get back to my pre-cycle weight. It was amazing how much weight I put on in a matter of days! I think it was 12-15 lbs! EEK! As I said, its slowly coming off, at least now I can fit into my pants comfortably!

K, from what I have read if a woman has a blastocyst transferred (as in your case right?) then 7 days after that you can have a BETA performed to check hcg levels. So by the 26th I would think it should register on a FRER....however, if the BETA is more sensitive (blood test, right?) then it may take a couple days after, say the 29th, to test positive on hpt. But that is a definite line on your IC last night, so I would test tomorrow (ok, maybe tonight ) with another frer, just for sanity's sake

Also I have read that cramping such as yours is totally normal after IVF--check out this link:

" I had an IVF transfer and the week that I was supposed to have my pg test, I felt crampy all week. I was positive I was getting my period as the symptoms were exactly the same. Being incredibly disappointed and frustrated, I was a royal pain all week long. But, when I took my pregnancy test on the 10 day following IVF, I found out I was pg. I guess the symptoms I was feeling may have been the embryo burrowing into my walls of my uterus"

Are you sure it's not IB? Seems way too early for AF.

I know, but man, how hard is it to feel like AF is coming and not assume that is what it is? I mean I even have the heavy fullness that happens before AF, everything. So hard to think that it is not AF. I am trying to stay positive, if only because I keep hearing that cramping is good!

Ok so I tried to add my chart into my signature 3 times. Am I doing it wrong?

Go to FF, click on the Sharing dropdown, and then click get code, and copy/paste the 'Simple Link' one, that is what I have at the bottom of my signature. Or if you want a mini picture of your chart, use the chart thumbnail. Just copy/paste that into your signature.

So I am thinking that my family is all very eager to meet the new (impending) arrival! Dh keeps wanderingo ver and saying "how ya feeling? " And if I say "Ouch"- say, I papercut or something - He jumps up and says "Are you having any pains at all?!" LOL! And the dd's they come up to me and say "WHEN is that BABY gonna be born!" Then they roll their eyes and stomp off...

I am sure glad Ali knows what she's doing witht he chart...Mine used to be on here and somehow I made it disappear  I'm going to try her method and see if it works!

If you go radio silent for more than 12hrs I am assuming you went into labor!
