Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Babydust- your chart is still looking good and you are at 6DPO, right? Can't wait for you to test! :happydance: lol at stressing over dh! :haha: That's what we women do...Don't worry, he'll be back home soon  Hmm..the panic attack in the shower is not so wacky :hugs: It could be the drowning aspect or sort of a claustrophobia, or being naked and therefore not in control? I know when I was in labor the MW tried to insist I strip and get in the shower but I felt my control slipping and told her emphatically "NO." So I kind of understand from that view....I honestly think your chances of :bfp: are high! Great timing, great temps, ...

Ali- nuts for still not feeling well :nope: I hope you get this kicked soon. Maybe you should see your doc about the sinus? I would, try to get it cleared up asap...the Mucinex will probably help. When did you get your DL back? :happydance: New one or did your find the old one? Oh never mind- I just got to that part of your post :dohh: Isn't that the way it always works :haha: Glad you will be able to work from home  I understand about the being unemployed! Yes, tons of stress, iot works on my mind too- I hate that feeling. I have tried so hard to get work the last while but this town is pretty prejudice. They (all of the store managers, etc) were so angry when I got a management job here locally because I wasn't a local IYKWIM and they thought that position should be reserved for someone of, um, greater local stature?! Anyway, when they got the opportunity to "kick me while I was down" they've done it. Since my lawsuit no one will hire me  so dh and I are praying we can move soon. Can I just say though that I have rebuilt my confidence...I was a damned good boss and a great employee- never a day late for work even when I was sick and passing out...I am proud of that  :)

Jess
- we miss you! :hugs: How are you?

Babywhisperer- where are you?

TwoToGo- :hi: :bunny:

Alin- Where are you? Too many MIA's today! :haha:

Terry- :hi: Nope, no baby yet, sorry! :haha: Wow, I can't swim a lick! I wish I knew how! Sounds like great exercise  Re: eating disorders. I had a bit of an an eating disorder years ago...My mom always cooked really fatty unhealthy foods (everything fried in butter iykwim) and she was very condescending of me as a youth. When I hit those uncertain teenage years she would mock me- "you look ugly as a girl, don't wear THAT stupid dress, OMG when will you get breasts? Ugh! -you're fat (though I wasn't) you'll never be thing, you'll never get married- who would want a plain-jane like you?-" and et cetera. :growlmad: Well my cure was fitness, or what I thought was fitness. I worked out very hard and stopped eating. What I didn't realize is my body would start to consume muscle too so I just got painfully thin. I used laxatives any time I ate so that I wouldn't gain any weight, etc. It was terrible, I stopped having my period, etc. Anyway once I moved out I sort of woke up and realized what was going on, did some research, and got my body back in order. My dh has been a wonderful help, he knows all about muscle building :cloud9: so he helps as far as diet and exercise, I just had to realize that I am in control without all of those crazy actions. Now I am addicted to being muscular (well, not at the moment......come January though! :haha:) I hope you realize you are a beautiful woman and you don't need to do anything to yourself to be in control and certainly not to punish yourself! We all get bfn's it is a complex but very scientific/biological process--it takes time, and nothing you did this cycle was wrong! No need to feel as though you should be punished! You have a great support group here that loves you and it sounds like your dh is very supportive as well and obvious that he loves you very much :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: Re: leg cramps. I agree with Ali- potassium and magnesium can help prevent those, either from Natural sources or there is an awesome OTC out there called MagOx that works wonders  that my MW recommended.

Littleminnie- :hi: Glad to have you on board!~ This is an awesome thread- lots of very supportive ladies here! I get tons of great advice everyday  Hmm...sure sounds like Ovulation pain! It can vary from month to month. Mine was pretty extreme, sometimes even get sharp brief stabs of pain :( Great to be a woman, right?! :haha: Ah, the stuff we put up with. I was on Clomid once too and didn't have too many symptoms but I am chalking that up to my being crabby most of the time then anyway lol!. Most women I have known that use it get very hormonal and sort of pms'y iykwim? So no worries! Sounds totally normal. Fx'd for your upcoming :bfp:

:hissy: AHHHHHH! :hissy: Just got a call from DH. He had taken the car in to get an oil change since we are taking some youth to Oklahoma City tomorrow. Found out that our tires are shot. I just bought front tires for the car in May, but I guess the car is out of alignment and now the cords are showing through and we can't take it.
Now we have to take hubby's truck, which works because it's a quad cab, but it takes twice the amount of gas. This isn't too much of a problem for us personally for this weekend because the church is paying for the gas, but the church really doesn't have the extra either. And now, I need to get new tires - again! Only this time I'm going to have to get 4 tires and an alignment. :growlmad:

Well, we are leaving very early tomorrow morning, so I'm not sure that I will be able to get on much until Monday. It depends on if our host home has WIFI. I am looking forward to the trip. We are taking our two kids and another one of our youth. This girl comes from an extremely difficult home life situation, so I'm hoping the trip makes a positive impact on her.

Coy - I'm fully expecting to see pics of a beautiful little girl when I return. :flower:

AFM- (drumroll)...Nothing to report :nope: lol! I am feeling the same, ecept for a little headachey at the moment. Wondering if I should check my temp to and make sure I don't have T's fever....Anyway, she did great all night, temp stayed down. throat is sore this morning still with those ucky whte bumps poor little girl :nope: So I gave her some motrin (temp was only 99.3 but it helps with the pain too). And I talked my doctor into seeing her just before he sees me today  Just a five minute check-up. He is a pediatrician also and absolutely is in love with kids...he wears Mickey Mouse ties to work :haha: lol and dresses as a clown during parade, etc...Why is it so hard to get kids to understand about spreading germs? It's like a constant "Take your hands out of your mouth! Don't put that in your mouth! What is that? Ewwww! Go wash right now:sick:!" lol! Anyway, my appointment is right after and I guess we'll see what's up

Sick of the wet snow already! :growlmad: I want some warm breezes and cool sunshine back :sad1: lol! Ali- wanna trade places? You can work realllyyy remotely (form Idaho) :haha: And I'll cuddle with your pups in the FL sunshine  I WISH!

Wish me luck ladies, I wanna have this baby sooooonnnn!

Hm...sounds like a typical crapy start to a day! :growlmad: Wal*Mart usually has great deals on tires...I know because dh was just looking :haha: But it all comes down to what can we afford, right? And I can't afford tires right now either :haha: Oh I am so thankful God fixed our truck! My car is only a four seater- and that is a squeeze!- and the breaks are shot in it :nope: and it smokes like crazy.....I say it has emphysema :haha: Anyway I hope you all have a great safe trip  Your chart looks good so far, I hope you get your :bfp: by time you get back  And I am trying to have this baby she's just being a lazy-butt! :growlmad: LOL! :hugs:

How come it is that when my attorney wants to get paid it has to be right now...but when my attorney has to give me money it can take months!!! Aargh! :growlmad: :hissy: lol!

WOW.. I can't believe that someone put tires on your car and didn't suggest an alignment. That is almost criminal! Do you have a firestone around? I go there for all my tire needs, including rotation and alignment. When you get tires there, the tires include a lifetime rotate and balance, and they also have a lifetime alignment option too. I have both, I think I paid $70 for the first alignment (maybe a little more) and then I can go in there literally everyday if I want and they will align my tires for free. Make sure they have the correct air pressure too, and rotate them so that they don't get worn in the same places. That is the key to keeping your tires for a long time.

Stalking for a Coy update......

Thanks Angel! I appreciate your thoughts and encouragement :) I need all the luck I can get lately :haha:

How are you??

No Firestone tires aorund here :nope: Just a couple of rip-off mechanics  Thank goodness dh knows all that tire stuff...there is one guy though that rotates tires, etc, and he does a good job. I agree it is the key to keeping your tires alive...

Babydust- the suspense is killing me! Your symptom of being exhausted has me wanting to say:test: but I know it's too early yet...:sadangel:....lol!

What is it with kids, huh? They have a way of increasing our stress levels without trying too hard :haha: For example, my dh is hooking up the flat screen to his blu-ray player.

"Um, daddy?....It's not working yet....funny how it just DOESN'T COME ON!...Odd....it should be working by now. Boy I sure hope you didn't break the tv....Hmmmm...What could it be? Do you think you blew it up? Funny how it just DOESN'T COME ON!"... :haha:  and so on. I mean in life we as adults understand that we have stress and that life isn't perfect. Then we have these gorgeous little babies that grow into gorgeous intelligent little adults....and they just GOTTA rub it in!

You and me both Coy eh? Sorry if I have missed this, but how long are they going to let you go over before they look at induction. The standard here in the UK is 10days but I know from research the clinical guidance is 14days, it's after this that docs begin to worry about over-growth, complications etc. I'm sure baby is fine, just maybe waiting on better weather arriving? :winkwink::haha:.

Ali... how are you? I've been trying to keep up but to be honest I've a big event on next weekend so work is manic at the moment and I'm struggling. I hope this preparation time is allowing you to get some much need R+R and de-stressing?

I'm in slightly better form at last :happydance:, not great but better lol. I'm content that I have now made a decision that I will not be delaying TTC no.2 after my hysteroscopy which should happen over the next few weeks, even though I may be redundant if it happens (worse case scenario). I'm also further down the road to making decisions about what I want my future career to look like, possibly management related in the NHS, possibly going back to retrain in a medical field. Work is still tough emotionally, especially as one of my colleagues keeps mentioning about x and y in the building being pregnant knowing full well I'm struggling and she doesn't see it :growlmad:. It's also putting my colleague who is pregnant in an uncomfortable situation as she knows how I am feeling. My pregnant colleague and I had a good talk about things yesterday and we're good, it just stings shall we say. It's not her fault so I'm distracting myself from that pain by offering my experience from carrying my only successful pregnancy. It works for me and I know it will get easier in the next few weeks. I just cant help thinking I would only be a week behind her, plus I'd either have no2 already here or be expecting him/her on 5th November from my other 2 losses this year:growlmad::cry:

So then dh pulls hard on the entertainment center and one side of it breaks and the blu-ray player and the flat-screen start to slide off toward the floor. So I rush forward and grab them to keep them from crashing and he barks at me that I am "creating a sense of urgency that just doesn't exist." :saywhat: Aaargh! So I left and am sitting in my office now :growlmad: I'm gonna just be irritated for a while...

Angel- it is perfectly understand how you feel. After my mc in November I remember seeing pregnant women literally everywhere- even some who were very unhappy about being pregnant or griping that they were having girls instead of boys or boys instead of girls and I remember thinking "man, do you know how lucky you are?" It is hard and the only thing we can do is try to overcome it and get stronger. I think it is about the toughest thing I've ever done. I know you will get your #2 soon! You are determined and going about this the right way, being logical, etc, but it doesn't make it any easier, I know :hugs: :hugs:

AFM-

Hm. Odd. I am getting what I assume to be BH contractions. They come about every 5 minutes or so and are painful enough to get my attention. Feels like period cramps...wonder if this is the start of something? Wouldn't that be a hoot- go to the doctor's office and go into labor! How convenient  Just to be on the safe side I already loaded my hospital suitcase and lunch tote into the truck 8-[

coy sounds like labour starting woohoo, braxton hicks are not regular and not normaly painful just uncomfy,i really think this is it
