Good night girls. Nice to meet you!

Hi DaisyChick!

I'm just a few miles north of you in West Palm Beach. The sun does make life feel a little better. The warm weather too! Welcome!

Spoke with my Dr's nurse, they said they called the Rx in. If it isn't there by 11, I'm going to call the pharmacy. I just checked and it STILL wasn't available. This is getting insane. I just want my head to stop hurting. Why oh why is my pharmacy being so annoying? I think perhaps I'm going to have to find another pharmacy. Every time I have to refill or pick up a prescription I go through this nonsense. So I'm thinking of switching to CVS? I want a pharmacy that has long hours, and not one that I have to walk into a huge store to get to (so no Target or Walmart), any other suggestions? I don't think we have RiteAid or any other large pharmacy stores around?

Ali- I would de look for another reliable pharmcy! I am not sure what you have near you. Maybe call your reg doctor and ask what they would recommend for your area?

AFM- well yesterday aws a bad day BUT dh got up in middle of the night with an epiphany...he opened up our water eater and flipped the reset button :laugh1: Prob is we have a leaky faucet and its draining our hot water too often :growlmad: BUT we have a plumber supposed to drop by....sometime  lol!

So the echinacea seems to be helping T's throat...still one small white spot and slightly swollen tonsils. But now Kat has spots!!!!:saywhat: I am not sure what this crap is...no fever! Aaargh, not sure what to do. Negative for strep and mono, so... Any ideas what it could be?

Symptoms: slightly sore throat initially. White "cottage cheese" looking stuff at back of throat and tonsil area. Swollen tonsils. Enlarge lymph nodes. No fever. Hearty appetite, happy, playful....

Thrush?

Ali- that's what I thought! Doc looked at T a few weeks ago and said he didn't think it was thrush...but what else? T and Kat are always sharing water bottles, etc. Plus they run around with their hands on the floor then eat snacks with their fingers  Maybe I missed having them wash first a time or two? The floor can have whatever we track around...hm....

Ooooh my mother strikes again!! :growlmad: She just sent me an email supporting white suremacy! gimme a break woman! I'm gonna catch some hell though, I fired back a reply ... with images ...and may have inadvertantly sent it to my cousins with Native American babies and some of my African American friends.......shame on my mama :sad1:

Seems to me that it is time to do the following:
1) See ENT
2) Make them take swabs from both kids and do both fungal and bacterial tests
3) Treat what it comes back with

I say go to see an ENT because they have the swabs for both fungal and bacterial tests, and they will send them away to a lab to see what kind of issue you have, and they can tell by the type of bacteria or fungus what anti-biotic or fungicide to treat it with. Then treat both of them! Cause I bet they are passing it back and forth.

I say this because I was crippled when I lived in Denver with constant sinusitis. I would go get anti-biotics and feel OK for a while, then bam I'd be sick again. Rinse repeat. All winter long. Well I finally went to see an ENT that determined that I had allergies to molds that grow in dry climates! They were literally growing in my nose and sinus cavities. Well he treated me, and within 6 weeks I was a totally new person. I then moved to Florida and eventually had surgery to open up my sinuses, but I haven't had a single sinus infection since!

So get an ENT to do some cultures and find out what exactly it is. Then they will be able to treat it with the right medicine and hopefully that will be the end of it!

Well we took T to an ENT...he said "mono -take her tonsils out."
:saywhat:!! so I insisted she get a blood test- neg mono. So maybe yes...have our pediatrician take swabs and end it out...we worried about mold as we had an issue a year or so ago but have since dealt w/it. *sigh* my poor babies!

In the end you may need to have her tonsils out, but before you do it, you want to make sure that it will actually help! I've never heard of taking tonsils out for mono. Sounds odd. Definitely get them both swabbed to figure out what is actually causing the issue. Not sure if your pediatrician will be able to do that? They usually just have rapid strep etc. You can give it a shot.

I'm going to have acupuncture in an hour, yay!

Yep, we have tested both for strepp and mono- negative! yay! I am wondering though if it is oral thrush? All of my research points to thrush. And with them sharing bottles could explain why they have it and we don't? Ahhh...anyway, waiting for a reply back from doc.

Today I have planned.....a workout  School ....dd's and I are going to bake chocolate chip cookies :shhh:

Trying to figure my daughters out. Yesterday T got up and put on jeans w/ripped out knees, a Gumby T-shirt :haha: and a coonskin cap

Today she gets up and puts on a pink floaty fairy dress with a minnie mouse Disney pricess cap with the trailing ribbons.....

My bet is on thrush too, so maybe just get Pediatrician to treat that? If that is all it is, then bam it is over! It is very common with kids I think.

I think T is trying to figure herself out! :haha: I'm like that too though. There are some days I wake up and I'm like.. I want to be rugged and tomboyish, and other times when I want to wear something more feminine. Depends on whether I want to be the bad a$$ or if I want to be all oooh I'm a girl look all feminine I am. Then there is the devil may care.. I'm a sexy woman look. I definitely have 3 different wardrobes (maybe more)?

lol! love it! Yes I have my "bad-a$$" days too...most of the time... lol!

So have you done acu puncture yet? Count me OUT! Anything with "puncture" in it...although I have had dh pierce my belly button twice  lasst time it set perfect! then during mc my immune system bucked up and rejected it so we gotta do it a 3rd time. Nuts!! if this one doesn't work I am going to get a kick-butt tatoo! :haha:

I like being bad a$$.. as a single lady I need to be strong and take no BS, especially when I'm walking into a car dealership, or an auto repair shop. I have no idea why, but they all assume women are dense and can't understand how a vehicle works and treat me like I'm stupid. Well I just give them that look, and stare them down and just wait for them to realize I'm not going to take that poo!

I did have my acupuncture and I got my meds! Acupuncture is actually quite relaxing. That was the first time I was on my stomach and I actually fell asleep! She did what she called an auto-reset, kind of what you do when you restart your computer. A system reboot! It was meant to get my organs back into balance which would help reduce my migraines. I did go get my migraine meds and within about 10 minutes I was feeling better. A little flighty, it is hard for me to remember things. I took the pill and then went to the store and it took me a while to remember my list. I managed to get everything I needed but it was like my brain was not calibrated properly. The pain is gone, and that is the important thing! I'm not sure I could take this and do my job though, I need my brain to be in top form! Especially :ninja: ninja day tomorrow.

I think I will reserve taking it later in the day instead of all day.

So its broiled burgers and baked french fries for dinner. Not the best meal, but it is what I felt like!

Ali- I'm glad you enjoyed your acupuncture. I always feel wiped after acupuncture...like I have to fall asleep as early as 7 pm. I really enjoy it, never thought I would. Are you going back

So why is tomorrow ninja day???

Grey Eyes- wish I had the bod for a piercing of the belly button. What kind of tattoo you thinking about?

Anyone having luck with there ovulating? any news? I feel like the days are going by so quickly..but so slow at the same time.

My nurse finally emailed me yesterday asking if the doctor contacted me. I didn't respond because I'm not going to write anything pleasant.

I was so bad in my eating today... I'm gonna be large..but not from babymaking:dohh:

Ugghhh.. So my doctor called me at 9:30pm. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. He was calling about a thyroid sonogram I received. I couldn't get back to him because he said just to call tomorrow. Well I went on the radiology website and got a copy of my report and it says that I have a nodule in my thyroid. What does this mean? I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. The report says suggested follow up in 6 months... but my mother had thyroid cancer twice... uggh And does this effect my chances with ivf?

Ninja day :ninja: is the day where I have to be on point. We have several systems that must all be up and running, and if the fail they can cause all sorts of horrible messes. Things like failed drug orders (where hospitals don't get their meds for the next day). Let me tell ya, getting a phone call from their director of pharmacy the next day telling me that they had to cancel surgery because they didn't have enough meds to do the surgery, well that is really not fun! So ninja :ninja: is the person that makes sure that everything is up, and fixes things when they are down. They basically keep our company running, it is akin to being an air traffic controller. Lots of stuff going on at once, you are being pulled in 3-5 different directions, needing to make sure everything is done correctly. That is why we all take turns doing it or we'd all go  Some days it is really easy, others it is crazy busy. It just depends on the day. Tomorrow will likely be  as we had a software release last night. That usually means extra issues. YAY!

I do not believe I have ovulated. My temps are still low and I've been spotting for several days now, almost a week I think. DRAT! It doesn't really matter though, I'm not doing anything productive with my eggs right now anyway. :haha:

Don't worry too much about the occasional slip up where you are not eating well. Just make sure that more often than not, your days are good! I had some coleslaw and yogurt for lunch, and that was all I ate until I got home. Not the greatest lunch! So I had a burger without the bun and a few french fries for dinner. Bad Ali! OOPS!

Samsfan! Why on earth would he call at 9:30 to tell you that kind of news? Bad Dr! You can't just leave that kind of news on a voicemail :grr:

No I do not think it means you can't do IVF, but I do think it means that you definitely need to get your thyroid looked at and your thyroid hormones under control before you go any further. I would ignore the recommendation to have a follow up in 6 months. They are probably not aware you are trying to get pregnant, and that your thyroid is an integral part in whether you are able to conceive or not. So further investigation is necessary now, not in 6 months! I doubt there is anything serious wrong, so don't worry about cancer (if it was cancer they would have recommended further investigation now). However you need to have your thyroid working properly, and if it is not, you need your thyroid hormone levels to be properly managed. So take some deep breaths and try to relax for now. Just call your Dr in the morning and he will discuss it with you and help you understand what the issues are.

Alicatt- Thank you so much! you are absolutely right. I need to just deal with it now and you are probably right. If it was serious the report would not say 6 month follow up. I'm paranoid, mom had cancer at my age. I thought it was because she thinks she received radiation treatment for tonsillitis. I need a :wine:

Here's to further tests.

Yikes

Thanks..
