Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been MIA so much. The flu is making it's rounds through the family, and I'm just plain exhausted. This stuff just doesn't want to let go.

We are holding off ttc until March, which is when my new health plan goes into place. Fine with me... right now I just don't have the energy to try. Hopefully we will all feel better soon.

Thanks never! I was excited to see them this AM, but also confused.

I did an OPK using FMU and got another smiley. I had some fertile symptoms yesterday.

Today's temp was the highest yet, suggesting O, but why all the pos OPKs? What could that mean?

Good morning ladies!

Never and twiggers...not having cross-hairs can be very frustrating. I'm glad you got yours twiggers. Never, I am sure yours will show up eventually too!

If I don't get my BFP this month (I am officially in my TWW) I might go back to temping. But I haven't decided for sure. It seems like I was so consumed with my temps that if I missed or if my sleep pattern was off at all I would get so stressed about it. So, for now, I just can't do it.

I hope BF and I sealed the deal with a little extra :sex: last night. ;) I was so tired this morning I didn't even make it to the gym. But that's ok. If I get my BFP, it will be worth it! We shall see in about 12-14 days!

Hi Jess! :) Yes I agree bding last night was more important then going to the gym this morning. You are already in great shape so you deserved to skip this morning! :dust:

twiggers I haven't used the smilie opk's so don't know what to tell you about 3rd positive opk. Maybe you released more than one egg? Your temp rise definately confirms Ovulation :happydance:

I kind of regret taking such a long screen name. Chantal was already taken but you ladies can call me by my real name if you like :)

Thanks Chantal!!! Two eggs would be cool too....double chances lol when I told DH that possibility he said "I'm out!" Lol

I'm still sick  aches and pains ugh.. no fun!

Twiggers - you probably won't have a normal cycle until several months after you have discontinued BCP. It sounds like you have a stubborn egg as well, and this is probably due to the fact that you haven't been ovulating in so long, your body is not sure what to do. So keep temping, and using your OPK, it will hopefully pop out soon! It will take a while before your body is back to normal though.

Jess - yay for being in the 2WW, and I'm so hopeful for you!

TwoToGo - seems like you've been through the ringer lately, I hope you recover soon!

Twiggers-how often are you testing? I did a test in the evening with Clear Blue Easy OPK and got a smiley face and then I did another in the morning and got another smiley face. I didn't test again until the next morning and then I got a negative. Sometimes your surge can last a little longer...and not begin to drop until you ovulate. I don't know about the two-egg theory. I have never researched that topic. I think two eggs (twins) would be awesome! :)

Ok Ms Ali! It is beyond time for you to get better. You need to sit down and have a long talk with your immune system!! :winkwink: But really, I certainly hope you feel better soon. You have baby making work to do! Has AF showed up yet?

Thanks for the encouragement. TWW can be daunting at times. I will have to find ways to occupy my time. I have a birthday next week. I'm fairly certain my sweetie pie has something planned for me. He always does. Poor guy, he has my birthday one week, valentines the next week, and his parents anniversary the week after. February is a financial whirlwind for him! :haha:

I am still practicing the piano. I wish I had room for a baby grand in my place. Maybe one day...

I've been testing afternoon and morning. First pos was afternoon and the next two were FMU.

I have the temp spikes....so I don't know what to think. Whether to BD again today or not?

I'm doing real well off BCP. No e of the horror stories that others report. No weird mood swings or feeling crappy. I feel real good. They say the hormones are out of your system right away...so who knows.

I'll test again when I get home tonight and see if its still there.

Of course you should BD again tonight!! ...if for no other reason than to relax and have fun. If a little is good more must be better! (Unless you are talking about body fat!)

Ladeeeeez!! :hi: Great to see you all today! :winkwink:

Andra and Ali- kick that flu butt already! Aaargh! Sometims we get these stubbon bugs :sad1: I know this throat problem w/ T and Kat has improved w/echinacea (sp) maybe give it a try?

Twiggers- charting can be fun, I agree...it's exciting to symptom spot!

Chantal- your name is beautiful!! Do you know what it means?

Jess- so glad to see you on here again! I missed you :hugs: Btw...bbt'ing is helpful I think only in determining IF you ov....but I have found ewcm can do that too :winkwink: I didn't know you played piano!

Thanks Coy it is french. Chant means song. I do love to sing but only in church with other people not by myself where everyone can hear :haha: How are you Coy? Larenda is also a beautiful name. I love names that end in "a"

Chantal...I hate my first name :growlmad: LOL! That is why I have always gone by Coy--even my parents never called me "Larenda" it is strange to my ears when I hear it. Weird, huh?!

Ooooo...I just saw a new place open downtown it is a 24/7 fitness building. Hm. It has the number to our local hospital emblazoned across the front and a key-pad entrance code  I'm gonna call and find out what's what!!!

Cool did you find out what is opening there?

Yes, it is apparently a gym...it's $35.00 a month membership ubnless you want the courses they teach, then it's $45.00 a month. And you have to pay $10.00 up front for the key....Is this expensive for a gym membership? I'd be looking at $420.00 a year just to use the equipment...Hm...damn! I could by a Total Gym for that and keep it at home! :haha: I am opting OUT. LOL!

So, I weighed the other day on my bathroom scale and it says I weigh 117...which is 5 pounds less than when I got preggo with Aeryn. AND I measured my waist today and I have losta whole inch in the last 10 days! :happydance: Not sure if that is significant in the whole scheme of fitness atm but I am happy about it :winkwink: Problem is now my clothes are once again transitional...so I am digging trying to find something that's not too tight making me feel fat and not so loose I feel saggy and frumpy :sad1: I got problems, right? :winkwink: lol!
