Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

JM- Love your photo! Looks so relaxed. How is the weather in Texas....quite chilly here in New York.

Morning Ladies :hi:

I think perhaps I spoke too soon when I said that I was over the flu. I don't feel bad, but my glands are swollen again  So I think my body is fighting something! The glands are the ones in your neck, the ones just under my ears. I can feel them pulsing. :grr:

I do have some good news though! I think AF is imminent! It certainly feels like it is on its way, considering that I POAS yesterday, and called my FS to get him to prescribe me provera, that 'should' get AF on its way! I have an appointment next week to find out more about my trial cycle and get started. It was supposed to be on Thursday, but I'm going to try to move it to Tuesday, especially if AF arrives today. I will need to get in there Mon/Tues to hit the day 2-4 start.

So yesterday I pulled my family room back together, adding the rug and the entertainment center. Let me know what you think!

Looks very nice Ali. Love the area rug. Our living room is set out similar except we don't have a fireplace or area rug yet

Thanks Chantal! I got my fake fireplace from Lowes. It's electric! I'm in Florida so I don't really need to use it very often, but I like how it anchors the room. The rug is from overstock.com and it was really reasonable for a 9x13 rug! Only $535, so you could get one too!

I didn't do much today, just lounged around and looked online for cool pieces for my family room. I found some art and some throw pillows.

I'm feeling pretty crumby right now my stomach is queasy and I feel the pre AF cramps really badly. I fear that this period is going to be pretty severe.

How is everyone else?

Hanging in there.....trying not to imagine that every twinge means something. Waiting for my IC HPTs to come in from Amazon next week :)

We're building a new home and are having some builder problems. We close in 13 days and there is still quite a lot to be done. They screwed up some drywall and they have to redo some corners and refloat an entire wall. it was supposed to be done ages ago. And they still haven't started on our fence.

I'm trying not to stress and just relax about it all!

Oh my! I bet that is stressful. Well try not to think about it, and just relax, TTCing is stressful enough! I have used the IC HPTs in the past, and have had a few false positives, so be careful with them!

Here is hoping that you don't have to imagine much longer!

Thanks Ali! I tend to be a pretty pessimistic person, so a BFP would be received cautiously with me...shoot even a confirmed BFP and I would be worrying!

Hello lovely ladies! :flower:

I have been stalking and decided to introduce myself. My name is Carrie and and I'm ttc #2. I turned 35 in Dec. I am married and we have a beautiful spunky daughter named Ella who will be 3 in May. We have been on the fence since Ella was born about having a 2nd child but we both feel like it's time now. For the past couple months we were ntnp but didn't have a lot of time to get in much "practice" as we both have pretty demanding full time careers. So now it's official with a ticker and all and I couldn't be happier. :) I have my heart set on a bfp by Aug 2013 the latest so the kids won't be more than 4 years apart. With Ella it took 4 months of ttc so I hope we get as lucky this time around.

I'm really happy to see this thread. Pregnancy and parenting are so different when you start in your 30's or 40's. I was also recently diagnosed with Fribromyalgia. I've been in pain off and on since high school but it got really bad during my 1st pregnancy so I'm preparing myself for a difficult pregnancy. Have a Dr appt with a Rheumatologist on Feb 7th to discuss. But, I know it is so incredibly worth it in the end so I've decided to go for it and tough it out!

Good luck to you all and I will definitely be around.

:dust:

Good morning Ladies :hi:

Ali that is exciting that your appoint was moved up! I hope that :af: is not mean to you. This will be an exciting month! Dh and I were looking at that same fireplace at Lowes. We ended up buying a heater (looks like a radiator) for now since we are trying to save money in case we have to do egg donor. Yesterday dh was drilling a hole in the sink to install a reverse osmosis water filtration system. I believe the water is full of chemicals and that is why I am not getting pregnant. I could be wrong but when I moved here from Barbados I got pregnant 3 months later. He is an IT guy so it is taking him a while to install. Hopefully he will be done by the time the superbowl comes on :haha: FF finally gave me cross-hairs today.

twiggers building a new home is so exciting. Dh and I love to watch those shows where they renovate houses or choose a new home.

Welcome Carrie :) Your daughter Emma is beautiful and love her name too. My name is Chantal and I also have fibromyalgia and I miscarried at 9 weeks the first time I got a bfp so it gives me hope that you have a healthy daughter.

Have a peaceful Sunday :dust:

Yay for crosshairs!

I keep looking at everyone's chart and my temps seem so low overall. Had a bit of a drop today and a bad AF/bfn dream last night.

twiggers you probably dreamt that because you were anxious. I have had bfp dreams and I wasnt pregnant so don't read too much into the dream. Your chart looks great. :thumbup:Your temp are way above coverline and just one lower temp could just be sleeping with your mouth open. I only start wondering when I have a temp that touches the coverline or drops below it. Everyone's temps are different. We are all unique. For some 97's are normal, others 98's.

Twiggers- wth--they have to refloat the wall? Literally half a bubble off a plumb, right?! Aargh! I used to build houses for the forest service in Denali Natl. Park...it's complex but not that difficult. Fx'd yo get it all fixed w/o added cost! Chart is looking good btw!

Ali- the room looks very nice! I bet you are pooped after all that moving stuff :winkwink:

Carriecinaz- Perfect age spacing, I was 35 when we had our second dd and first dd was 4.5 years. They are best friends!!

Chantal- wow, what an awesome looking chart! Bd'd perfect and everything! Fx'd hun!!

Samsfan- how are you today? Yes Jess' (JM) photo looks verrry relaxed, I am jealous! lol! I think you have a lot of stress in life :sad1: Time to pull out those stress-beaters and go to town :grr: LOL! You're strong lady, I wonder what portions of stress you can just say goodbye to (besides your job, you need that :winkwink: ) How's the exersize going? Are you enrolled in a gym? I'd love to but far to spendy here. I do have some gym equipment at home, so  that helps!

Jess- hey there! Hope you are enjoying the game at someone else's house today so they get to clean the mess :haha:

Babywhisperer, Babydust, Angel, Alin, Andra, Phil- :hi: and :hugs: !!!

AFM- sitting here exhausted and jugheaded...Aeryn is nursing and chuckling simultaneously......I guess milk makes her happy :haha: Funny baby. Dh and I have had a couple verrrrry long wakeful nights. Kat has decided to wake screaming in middle of night again :nope: and is hopelessly inconsolable. I end up turning on all the lights and having to really raise my voice to get her to wake up. I sat w/her last night until 1:30 am trying to figure out what is going on. Finally got it figured. Her big sister has been reading scary stories to her :growlmad: like the murderous Blluebeard who strangled all his wives and hung their bodies  and to top it off "Wolfman" that was made back in the 40s (I guess?) in black and white came on tv last night...well T wanted to atch it and I said "absolutely not!" and turned the television off. Then I said its time for bed and went to change Aeryn's diaper...when I got back T had turned the tv back on :trouble: and poor 3 year old Kat got to see "the dogs biting and biting him then HIS FACE CHANGED TO A WOLF!!! and he went hunting PEEEOOPPLLEE!!" Poor little girl :nope: I am quite upset w/her big sissy today.

Anyway, chugging black coffee as I have a final assignment today then Superbowl! :headspin: Yay! Hope I make it  lol

Oh yeah, I was digging through the closet and pulled out some of Aeryn's new outfits in 6-9 months. She is 3 months old and THEY FIT!! I guess she is long, she's not fat

Hi Coy :) Poor Kat. Yes big sisters don't always remember that their younger siblings cannot watch what they watch. I was like her though when I was young. When my parents went outside I would watch the scary movies. I loved Stephen King and James Herbert. Now I hate to watch anything scary. Gives me nightmares :shrug:FF rated our bd'ing high, if we were younger and if we had better quality egg and :spermy: I would have a higher chance of being pregnant. Thanks for fx crossed. We need all the positive thoughts

I hope dh finishes the water filter install before the game starts so I can put away all the tools. I am throwing him a small birthday party here next weekend. Looks like :af: not due till after his birthday the 13th and Valentine's Yay! I started taking progest natural progesterone yesterday so hoping that at least if I get :af: it won't be so painful. We travel on the 18th.

Coy maybe the 6-9 month outfits were made small. Aeryn does look tall for 3 months

Chantal- Thanks for the info on the temps. I'm hoping to get the egg this time... I'm going to Florida and it should fall next weekend.

Coy- MY DH joined the gym with me for 30 days. We went yesterday and today. feels so much better. I going to try to spin tomorrow morning. Now I'm going to cut out the carbs. Ive gained 10 lbs since Christmas :( Got to get it off. I have to say you girls inspire me! Keep talking and it will get me there. I want to get rid of the 10 lbs by the end of the month. I think it is doable.

So is everyone watching the game?

BTW

Welcome Carrie!

And Ali feel better/... you need to prepare yourself for your new cycle.

Thanks for the comfort Chantal.

Grey - well, the wall....you can see all of the joints, even after texturing the walls. Just crappy work :( our inspector will be going out there on Wednesday.

Sam- heheh 10 pounds? You got it! You'll have that off in no time :winkwink: Just use a little :bodyb: and some :gun: and throw in a bit of :ninja: and it'll fade fast!

Chantal- I think she must be long for 3 months...because every 6-9 that I pic up fits her  And all of her 3-6 are too small...her toesies poke out :nope: lol!
