Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Coy--- Aeryn must be long..or like Chantal said maybe the clothes are smaller... because she looks perfect in her pics..

10 lbs now.. once I lose 10 lbs. I want to lose another 10 and maybe another 10... From what Philomena said it's possible to lose while pregnant or be thinner after you give birth.

I know I'm crazed.. I'm thinking I'm going to lose weight pregnant... I'll be happy with just getting preggers...but I have to hope:shrug:
So yes. No carbs for now... Spin today... Spin tomorrow... throw in some :ninja: and maybe I'll be a little lighter by the end of this month.
Feel so much better when I:happydance:

Sam- heheh 10 pounds? You got it! You'll have that off in no time :winkwink: Just use a little :bodyb: and some :gun: and throw in a bit of :ninja: and it'll fade fast!

Chantal- I think she must be long for 3 months...because every 6-9 that I pic up fits her  And all of her 3-6 are too small...her toesies poke out :nope: lol!

Twiggers..nice work this month.. crosshairs looks perfect and in line with bo'd.... hoping you get a :bfp:

Thanks for the comfort Chantal.

Grey - well, the wall....you can see all of the joints, even after texturing the walls. Just crappy work :( our inspector will be going out there on Wednesday.

Sam- remember, you do need some carbs....don't cut tooooo much :winkwink:

Hi Ladies!
Samsfan, it IS possible to lose weight while pregnant, but you shouldn't 'diet' at all....

I started off by being about 100 lbs over my ideal weight, and that is a factor in whether it is even ok to not gain while pregnant...
Then, because of the GD, I had to change how I ate and watched my blood glucose levels like a hawk.... I actually ate MORE food after being diagnosed with the Gestational Diabetes. At no time did I cut calories, or worry about 'trying' to lose weight.... I didn't cut all carbs... just tried to avoid gluten, refined carbs, and I ate something every 2 hours.... and drank copious amounts of water.... When I had the baby I was the same weight I was when I got pregnant, and in the weeks since, have shed about 25 lbs and counting....
One of the things to watch out for when you ARE pregnant *smile* is that actively trying to lose weight can create a situation where your body starts producing keytones and that potentially is bad for baby.....
But eating healthy, and eating well is nothing but good.... so I'm trying to keep it up now- loads of water, loads of fibre, much reduced refined carbs and gluten free when I can....
I'm just now starting to feel well enough to think about adding in some exercise.... I am going to check at the doctor's this week.....

How is everyone else doing?
phil.

Thanks sams!!! My fingers are crossed. Maybe we'll be lucky, but I'm not holding my breathe. I'm just taking comfort in the fact that I'm ovulating and hope to have a "normal" cycle right off BC.

Phil! I love that you are staying healthy and losing weight. Also that you managed your weight and GD so well during your pregnancy. It is an inspiration to us all! I can only hope to do as well as you did!

 Ali

Philomena- Totally inspirational and informative! I will definitely keep that in mind. Your baby girl is gorgeous!

I'm so motivated..but superbowl happens and carbs - refined sugars right in my mouth without thought. Here's to a better tomorrow. Baby steps:baby:

I'm so happy I found a morning spin class that isn't during the dark hours and close enough to home.

Hi all!

Just thought I would stop in and come up for air for a minute. :haha: Our household still isn't healthy. :nope: Tim is still trying to get over the stomach flu, and now I have a nasty cold. Not good! Especially since I have a funeral to do today. So, I'm going to make the trip into town this morning for some good cold meds and pantyhose, and hope the meds don't make me loopy during the funeral.

We leave on Thursday for vacation. :happydance: It will be nice to get away and rest. Hoping we are all feeling better and can enjoy.

Hope you are all doing well. When we get back from vacation I will try to be a more active part of the group.

:hi: everyone!

So, I did not even check in with y'all over the weekend. I slept off and on ALL weekend! It was sooooo nice!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend (Carbs and all :winkwink:).

Superbowl was awesome!

Morning to you Jess!

Yes it was a great game. I liked that it was close and a nail biter to the end. That is what makes a football game to me! I'm pretty tired today from staying up so late! Silly me! LOL.

So I moved my FS appt to Wednesday afternoon, so that is nice. It works better with my schedule. Now to just get AF to hurry up! I have been feeling horrible for days now. She is really trying to drive me  the cramping, nausea, irritability, lower back pain, and headaches need to go! :growlmad:

On the good news, I was looking ahead to when I think my transfer will be, and the week of March 25th is looking good. So I am aiming for my Mom's birthday which is March 28th! Wouldn't that be cool! Especially if I have a girl and name her after my Mom.

Good morning ladies!

Sam- do Cheese Puffs count?? Totally! lol!

Ali- glad you are feeling better!So...it's February, are you still going to do trial-run this month??

Andra- O I am sorry you are still under the cloak of that darn flu! :nope: Get better girl! :hugs:

Jess- Super Bowl was awesome! Or so I hear...:sad1: I ended up doing other stuff (school) so I missed it! :growlmad: Plus I was so totally exhausted from the last 2-3 nights with Kat that I couldn't focus, lol! Wow, you slept the whole weekend away! I would say "lazy bones" but I know better :winkwink: lol!

AFM-
O my gosh, I actually slept last night! lol! I had trouble going to sleep because I kept creeping in to check on the girls...just an odd night I guess? Anyway after I went to sleep Kat only got up once and wanted me to tuck her in  So anyway, I am feeling bushy tailed this morning!Didn't work with my weights last night tho but my guilt pangs were hardly noticeable around my chocolate ice ceam :winkwink:

I finished my oceanography course- kind of amazed at what I learned, tons of interesting material. But, ahem, back to my original passion- on to my next course in criminology :winkwink: I get to take a break later this spring or summer though.
Aeryn slept good last night too, never woke up once. Now. That having been said, me sleeping all night and Aeryn sleeping all night only equals out to one thing.

Bursting boobs. :sad1: lol!

Ok, so I am now in the beginning of week two of my tww and I am obsessed! I am not testing until Sunday. But dang it! I want to test before then. My birthday is Thursday. That would be awesome to get a BFP on my birthday.

Coy...I think you got your BFP on February 7th. :winkwink:

Just thought I would share...since it is all I can think about!!!

Happy birthday early!! :cake: So easy to become obsessed! I think you are right, my bfp was February early...I retrieved my chaart from the doc office, now I'll have to check! Hmmmm...I am wondering tho as you are so tired? aargh! symptom spotting! :haha:

Jess- Today is like 6DPO right? I was 9dpo when I got a verrrrry faint 2 lines on a frer. So too early to test yet :hugs: nuts!

I wasn't wanting to test today, but I think I want to test on my birthday. But then if it is negative, I will remember the birthday that I got a BFN. Do I really want that? :nope:

Nah, you wouldn't remember it that way...if its bfn on your birthday you would remember the chocolate cake you murdered right after! :haha: Well, that's how I'd choose to remember, lol...Think positive!

So Feb 7 is your bday? Oooo 9dpo (or thereabouts). Worth a hpt shot but still early, so if bfn could def be false! just try again around 11dpo...

I like the way you think!! BF is taking me to Eddie V's (Steakhouse here in Austin) for dinner on my birthday. And then I will get my much desired, much anticipated yearly Cheeseburger for lunch on the day after my birthday. Then my girlfriends are having a dinner for me on Friday night at this place called Gloria's. It is a restaurant that turns into a salsa bar with a live band after 10.

All that to say, I probably will remember all the fantastic stuff as opposed to the bfn...if it is even a bfn. Could be a BFP...although I have no "symptoms" other than being so sleepy. But I've been sleepy before.

Jess, I agree with Coy.. you won't remember the BFN you'll remember the positives :) The cake and your friends, etc. If you are worried about that, you can always test the morning after?

I don't think you would have many symptoms right now as implantation doesn't really start until 5-7 days anyway.

Here is hoping for a positive!
