Nina - a nurse kept throwing a gown over me when I delivered DS! Every time I tore it off, another one was on in a few seconds! I got to the hospital at 8cm, so I wasn't much in the mood for resisting, just pushing. 
Anyways, DH knows to keep it away this time. I can't imagine why else she would have insisted if it wasn't policy? Especially where I delivered in July! My lady bits weren't about to freeze, lol.
