What are your traditions?

This is our first Christmas together as a family and i think we need some traditions of our own instead of letting it pass by without too much to look forward to now that the rest of the family isnt going to be as involved as previous years.

What do you do?

Evening gifts. At around 6/7 on Christmas Day night, we have an evening gift, usually not something asked for so a complete surprise.

Also take away on Christmas Eve night.

And new pjs on Christmas eve

In our house, we always tidy up on christmas eve so it's 'tidy for father christmas' Then we have tea, then we decorate our christmas cake Then everyone has a nice bath using their favourite bubble bath, body lotion and stuff, get's into new pjs and slippers. While everyone's getting sorted we have christmas music playing. Then when everyone's done, we snuggle up with a christmassy film (usually A Christmas Carol) with the candles on and tree lights

Our only tradition is we have a bottle of champagne in bed while opening our stocking presents. LO obviously will not be part of the drinking for many years!!!

My mum always has a tradition to leave Santa something even though we are all old enough to know better lol

Church on christmas eve. Bacon sarny's on christmas morning. I wouldn't mind the takeaway on christmas eve to start as a tradition though lol x

When I was little my mum used to sprinkle glitter on my windowsill, so we used to jump up in the morning to check the window to see if santa has been. I used to love it, I'm going to start doing that when Mekai is a little older

We always have new pj's for xmas eve, we always have toasted ham sandwiches on xmas morning with bucks fizz and we always get dressed up for xmas dinner.
