What Christmassy thing have you done today?

Finished Christmas decorations (added lights and snowflake ornaments to what i posted the other day)

I started crocheting a Christmas stocking. I made some for the kids two years ago (we were in quarantine after an international move) but didn't make DHs and mine, and for some reason I didn't make them last year either. I will probably end up remaking ones for the kids (next year?) Because they are a bit small and juat made out of scrap yarn.

On Thursday the boys painted some little Christmas tree decorations, they are going to keep some and put other in their 2 nans Christmas presents

Decided to venture to the christmas market I town. Luckily we can walk as driving would be a nightmare.
There is a reason we don't go often...it was sooooo busy. This weekend is the dickens weekend too so I knew it would be busy but not that busy.
The girls got a hot chocolate, chips and a doughnut then had two rides each on helter-skelter and swing chairs.
We didn't wait for the parade as it was so crowded and they wouldn't see. Still it felt slightly Christmassy. Think we will go on Friday's in future as not so busy and rides half price.

Got my Christmas cards written. Just need to post them now

Wow well done! I really need to get a move on and write and post mine as some are going to the US!

Went to a couple free family Christmas events - first was a winter wonderland skate (an indoor rink that is transformed to look like it's outside with dozens of real trees, logs to sit on, Christmas lights as the only illumination) and then we went to a free showing of the Grinch at a historic movie theater (over 100 years old).

Both sound lovely x

I'm not feeling christmassy this year. It was my nanas funeral on the 1st Dec and now we're all full of colds so not putting the decorations up today like we planned.

We went to a panto yesterday though which was great fun :)

Today is DH birthday and he wanted a mini Christmas dinner for his birthday dinner so I'm cooking pigs in blankets with a roast and listening to Christmas music

Lit the second advent candle on the wreath, ate a mug cookie and many many Pfeffernüsse.

Finally got the decorations out and trees up today, baked mince pies and gingerbread men with my girls. Now we’re going to watch the Muppet’s Christmas Carol before bed. It’s been a whole day of Christmas and I am 100% here for it :wohoo: :xmas12:
