So after 2+ years of trying and all tests coming back clear, the FS has finally classed me as "unexplained". I've taken one round of clomid which I over stimmed on and was told that after 3 medication free monitored cycles that it's pretty much a waste of time for me as I ovulate on my own.

So my question I guess is what's next? Anyone else currently in the same situation? I have another appointment in October to "discuss options" which I suppose will be IUI or IVF. Just wondering if they'd waste time and money doing IUI when I'm ovulating and have been told not to take any medication?

Argh the waiting game is so annoying! I know this is so bad but I've still got clomid pills and I'm tempted to just take half the dose on my next cycle...

This LTTTC game is really starting to get to me :growlmad:

I'm pretty much in the same position as you. Normal cycle, ovulate on my own same time each cycle (day10/11) and no known issues we have come across. It's a bit frustrating really lol. While you definitely don't want anything to be wrong, if there was something wrong then you'd have a reason why it's taking SOOOOOO long!

My fertility doctor said because there is nothing wrong there's no point in doing IUI. Some doctors will, but after 4 or 5 try's it ends up costing the same as one round of IVF but with a lower % sucess rate. While I'm personally not yet sold on IVF I may end up doing it after Christmas if no success by then? It's more that it costs so much, but we have good health insurance.

We are just still going with the blood test and timing intercourse for now and then we'll see.

I'm classed as 'unexplained' too. I'm waiting to start clomid next month (against my dr's wishes) as i O on my own but have short cycle and i think a low dose will help with this (and proved it with Soy isoflavones!) so he finally agreed.... after this i'm done! IUI and IVF i can't afford to do and i don't qualify on the NHS as DH has 2 kids from a previous relationship. So if no success with clomid i'm all done TTC and moving on with my life x

Thats my story as well. Sadly we don't haven the money for IUI or IVF, stupid insurance doesn't cover it :growlmad:

No really sure what to do next.
