What do you enjoy about formula feeding?

Best thing in my opinion is OH helping with the night feeds! :haha:

Definitely others being able to feed him, my mum loves to give him a bottle!
It frees up my time to play with my daughter
I know how much he is eating
Also the routine, although this differs everyday due to whenever wake up time is!
Not having to have him with me 24/7. I love him but need a break sometimes!
That when he has his dream feed/4am feed it's bottle in his mouth, downed in 5 mins and straight back to sleep and I'll know he has had a good 5oz to see him through the night!

Yaaaaay to a positive thread about FF :)

I am a fairly anxious person at times so knowing exactly how much my LO has had puts my mind at rest!
Everyone from both my family and OH's family has been able to get involved and all have loved feeding Gracie-Mae!
My OH LOVES doing the morning feed, it's his and Gracie's Daddy/Daughter thing (He works nights so always does it when he gets in)
I know if we are out exactly what i am doing, so have bottles and powder always ready to be mixed!
LO is at ease with everyone, i think purely because her Granny ETC have fed her since teeny tiny.

I prop could carry on, but these would be the things that would make me really consider doing it again if we have any more!

Lou xx

As others have said, the best thing is that others can feed. I've found this very useful with my two as it meant I was able to carry on taking my son out on my own and keep up with his routine which I felt was important for him, rather than always having to take the baby and split my attention. Also I have found it very useful in managing my tiredness as OH does the 11pm feed so I can have an early night when I'm tired.

For me it was a positive because my husband could also bond when feeding the baby. Also our family members all wanted a huge part in his life (taking him to the park, swimming, sleepovers). I also loved the fact that I didn't have to quit sports as I am a avid soccer player. If I was breastfeeding i would have to run off the field and nurse and that wouldn't be very practical. I also loved the fact that my lil one was satisfied with the formula and was sleeping through the night at 2 months old.

- I can still bond with my lo as he eats,i prop his head on my pillow and cuddle him while he eats. It's a sweet moment for me because he will rub my face.
- If you need to get anything done around the house,or take some personal time you can set lo in the swing, prop a bottle to them using a folded blanket.
- I'm glad i don't have a teething baby bitting my nipples off as he feeds, because that would be a NIGHTMARE!

I couldn't bf from the start,even if i could with my 2nd i wont.

For me the best thing is that once I stop I'll feel like I'm £100 a month better off:haha:

Seriously though having help. I feed both myself all day most days so relish when I can get a hand and just feed one.
