What do you think about National Service?

Well personally I think it should only be started on one year cohort (so all the people born in whatever year makes them 18 when it comes into effect) and anyone 19 or older would be exempt and then each year cohort will then be eligible as they come of age.
Otherwise then they'll just have to put up with it I guess. Its not the end of the world - the people that do delay it here and end up having to do their service leaving families behind etc manage so I don't see why people can't manage over there.

But if it was just for 18 year olds/school leavers and you could choose to delay then that would make sense but it doesn't say that it says people aged 18-26
