What do you think of the name Rupert?

Hubby and I have been struggling to find a boy's name we both like, and we have finally settled on the name Rupert. What do you think of it, does it sound too old fashioned? We wouldn't want him to get bullied because of his name!

When i think of the name Rupert it reminds me of that show. because the baby named his teddy bear "rupert" thats why i ask ... the name seems old fashioned but it sounds cute and unique- i for one dont know any1 with that name so if your going for unique you got it

Kids will bully other kids for all kinds of reasons hun. If you like the name go for it. I'm not keen but i still think its cute. It just wouldnt suit my family.

I think it is one of those names that is coming back in ..... I like it, I dont know if it would be a favourite, but it has a certain ring to it. Does remind me straight away though of Rupert the bear

But if you like it you should go for it.

I know a Rupert from school. He was teased a lot when we were young. However he has embraced it as he's got older and now has a genuine rupert the bear scarf! hee hee. I quite like the name but it was the source of many jokes 10 years ago x

Rupert is my favorite name in the whole world!! - but my hubby won't have for our first boy! He hates it, but I think its a beautiful name, so traditional but unique, and very english, if you both agree on it then go for it!! xx
