What do you think of the name Rupert?

I love it, of course he's going to get the odd comment though. If you're looking for something more common maybe Rueben? then it can be shortened to Ben if he wants. Or Russel or Rufus? i do like the name alot though

That's my friends dogs name :s

It's quite a common pet name and he may get teased at school. But who cares?

Well, i'm not fond of the name Rupert personally... what would you call him for short?

I think certain names are prefered in different countries tho... i do think a kid named Rupert would probably get teased in the US.... but it seems that in other countries, people like it.

All that matters is that you like it, tho!

i really like it... old fashioned names like Rupert are becoming very popular again. I think it has a lot of character xx

The actor who plays Ron in Harry potter is named Rupert. I like it is classy.

Our friend was shortened to Rupe at school and is now Burt! I dunno how it came about buts its stuck now he's older (26) x

I LOVE Rupert. If we have a boy he'll be named after DH's grandfather but for a second boy, Rupert would be right at the top of our list. Lovely name, strong and classy but also a little quirky and not too common. Cute on a boy and works well on a man.

Well i think its very classy and who needs something to shorten it to? Jude just gets Judey, so you could have Rupie? I think its gorgeous.
