What is this pain behind pubic bone?!

Sounds like round ligament pain. I've been getting it quite bad today after doing some sorting out round the house.

"Round ligament pain is generally a brief, sharp, stabbing pain or a longer-lasting dull ache that you may feel on one or both sides of your lower abdomen or deep in your groin, usually starting in your second trimester. It happens when the ligaments that support your uterus in your pelvis stretch and thicken to accommodate and support its growing size.
You may feel a short jabbing sensation if you suddenly change position, such as when you're getting out of bed or up from a chair or when you cough, roll over in bed, or get out of the bathtub. Or you may feel a dull ache after a particularly active day, if you've been walking a lot or doing some other physical activity. Call your caregiver if this discomfort continues even after you've rested."

Thank you. Is it possible to get both types of round ligament pain? Because I've been getting the jabbing feeling for weeks now but this has just started. And what's the difference between SPD and round ligament?

Round ligament pain is the pain that comes from ligaments stretching and holding up the weight of the pregnancy (ligaments are tissue, not bone). SPD is symphasis pubis pain, or pain of the pubic bone. The pubic bone is made up of two small bones with cartilage in between and pain is caused by the high progesterone levels of pregnancy making the cartilage softer and therefore the weight of the pregnancy can cause it to stretch and the bones to seperate a little.
It's to make the pelvic cavity wider for birth but if you do lots or are overweight like me it can put too much pressure on the pubic bones and make them sore.
Hope that helped :)

That does help thank you! How I can I tell one from the other? This is definitely a pain in my pubic bone, and the round ligament pain I've been getting since around 15 weeks is more around my hipbone.

Sounds like you already can tell the difference :) The SPD is right in the pubic bone, so that's the new pain you've been having after the exercise. The round ligament pain can happen in lots of places, you have ligaments all around the base of the uterus, within the pelvis and up the sides of your abdominal cavity. They can feel like stitches or achey. I tend to get ligament pain on the sides of my bump while I'm walking, ouchy.

Tha'ts what I thought... It feels like two completely different things going on!

Well I felt a little better in general today but after walking around at the store for maybe 20-30 minutes I started getting it again, and this time it was stabbing inside my pubic bone every time I took a step. I also felt the stabbing in my bum  It was sooo uncomfortable, I had to limp to the car and take some tylanol. I am not sure if I should call my OB nurse tomorrow and let them know, or just wait until my appointment in 2 1/2 weeks. I'm not sure if I've mention this but... It also hurts every time I stand up from sitting, when I lift my leg to put pants on, and when I roll over in bed (different than the round ligament pain).

Aww you poor thing :(
Yeah I get it when I do all of those things too, that's the pubic pain. It's because anything that causes you to seperate your legs will hurt. Try and keep them together as much as you can, like when you're getting out of the car and I bend lower to put my trousers on than I used to :p
Also I've found I need to sleep with a pillow between my legs, it seems to keep my legs the right distance apart.
Personally I have adapted to it for the most part and it is not preventing me from doing what I need to do. But because you're a very active person it might be worth getting an earlier appointment and going to see a physio, I've heard a lot of positive stories about them helping :)

Well today towards the end of work, when I had to do dishes and walk up and down lots of stairs, it was hurting SO bad I was limping and waddling just trying to get my work finished. Then I just sat on the couch at work for an hour without moving because every movement was killer. I decided to call the ob nurse and she said that it sounds like my pubic bone is splitting... I think this is SPD right? Anyway she said that it's normal but im really early for it to be happening. She just recommended ice and Tylenol, and she said that my OB will call me with his input.

The fact that she said that the pubic bone splits to prepare for birth, and that im early for this to be happening... Is kinda freaking me out. :/

Sorry to hear you're still in so much pain :( I was in a lot of pain over last weekend and it was stopping me sleeping, but since I've been less physically active and found a position I can sleep in, the last few days have been lots better. I saw my midwife and told her anyway and she told me the pain was normal! As it has been better I'm not going to push it, but will go back if it gets bad again.

Hope your dr is able to help you out and you get some relief soon.

emicakess my first fear when I discovered I had SPD was why were things separating already but I did more research and called my nurse for assurance and everything is ok, it could be just 1mm that it has separated.

I have suffered pretty bad to the stage a few times where I was stuck to the bed after hovering or mopping the house but rest does a world of wonders and my new secret weapon well its no secret but the chiropractor who I now believe are sent directly from heaven. I had never been to one before and didn't hold out to much hope the doctor did say that officially he has to recommend me to a physio but if it was his wife he would tell her to go to the chiropractor something to do with chiros not being medically regognised.

Well I don't care who is recognised for what - I was able to walk and put on my own trousers and get in and out of the car in 1 go for the first time in weeks!!

Now I was unlucky that it only held a few days and I had to go back but I didn't care I was in so much pain I'd go every bloody day if I had to but its held since last week again. Still hurts a little but not much at all.

So in summary, its not dangerous at this early stage, please don't worry and GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR!!

:)
