I am a nurse, and worked in labor and delivery for a long time, so yes, it does happen quite often. But to tell you the truth you will never know it!!! It's not like they announce it, and no one really even notices it happens. It happens so fast and is cleaned up so fast, you won't know. Usually even those in the delivery room with you never even notice.
