We were told to go into hospital when contractions are 5 minutes apart lasting at least 30 seconds, they are getting stronger, longer and closer together, and that you can't speak during the contractions.

This is a good sign that you ar 4 or 5 cm dilated. Hope that helps and good luck!

oh good luck chick...I would go down the hospital anyway I think. its better to be know whats happening if anything then to not know..

Try a hot bath that should ease pain and help kick start active labour. xx
