What is your final voting decision? *New Poll*

Me too, i can work more hours and contribute more tax back into the economy!! As things stand right now i cant afford to work more than 30 hours per week because of childcare, at least if that came into play i could bump it up to 40 maybe!!

I dont know about the vouchers - its a salary sacrifice scheme so as long as the government continued to fund the tax relief (which is capped anyway) i dont think itd be cut ... i havent read about it though, so not sure to be honest :) My employer doesnt offer them :(

Just thought mine does do them, not sure what it means though

I dont think theres a lot of reason to worry about them hun as your employer is making most of the outlay I dont see why they'd be scrapped :hugs:

x

I'm not sure about vouchers. Tories want to introduce free childcare for under 5's, Lib Dem's wanted a similar thing, they wanted to have free nursery care for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Labour currently had free childcare places for 3-4 year olds

It's the full text of the coalition agreement. Makes for interesting reading

Oh dear -
New health minister https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ne...ankrolled-by-private-healthcare-provider.html
New equalities minister https://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpid=40382&dmp=826

i read it on the lib dem site earlier, it does sound good, i am just hoping it is as good in practice :)

One thing i am extremely pleased about is this

We agree to implement the Parliamentary and Health Ombudsman's recommendation to make fair and transparent payments to Equitable Life policy holders, through an independent payment scheme, for their relative loss as a consequence of regulatory failure.

My grandfather lost a hell of a lot of money because of this, so im glad he will be getting some of it back :)

Didnt see any mention of childcare though? Did anyone else? I only had a quick scan through.

I think for the most part it all sounds pretty good,
The nuclear power plant bit confused me tho ... it seems to say their agreeing to disagree but are they building/rebuilding them or not? lol

awww they laugh at each others 'jokes' even when they aren't funny :)

Didn't you know? This was the big sticking point for an agreement. Cameron just wasn't prepared to accept that Clegg was funny.....

I have a question which is probably very silly so feel free to laugh at me....

How come the Tories and Labour couldn't form a coalition?

Labour bottled it and wouldn't compromise with Lib Dem's and the policies they wanted to bring into a coalition

Their policies are so different, Labour are traditionally left wing and Torys' right.

I didn't read your question properly LOL I thought you said Libe Dem and Labour. Yeah, Tory and Labour are complete opposites

I knew it was a stupid question  thanks!

I miss Gordy! I actually cried before watching him and his kiddies!

I'm loving the fact that The Hoff has made it into this thread!!
