What qualifies you as a LTTTCer?

Hi ladies!

I'm sorry a lot of you have had losses :hugs: It's so cruel.

I am coming up on 3 years ttc in September.. I have done 4 rounds of clomid in the past with nothing--but I ovulate on my own. HSG next week, I hope it's ok! Hubby's SA was ok. I also have an endocrine test coming up the day before my HSG to test for CAH..which if I have I could end up on steroids for the rest of my life. That wouldnt be so bad at least I'd know what was wrong. I have a history of ovarian cysts but no PCOS, so I'm getting nervous about having tube blockages.

So glad you started this thread Serene, I agree we definitely need more chatter in LTTTC, I get so down reading some threads in TTC.. and when I reply and they see how long it's taking me I get a pity party..Which makes me feel even worse about my infertility! In all honesty I think those of us that have to wait are made stronger by it--and life is that much more precious. I know I love my husband more everyday for standing by me and wanting a family just as much as I do. :)

 Hey hun!

I've had cysts too, I think the last one was quite big but they didn't follow it up so I assumed it wasn't too bad, or they were waiting to hear if it gave me anymore bother?

My biggest fear isn't my tubes being blocked, because I think there's a way around that? Am I wrong? My biggest fear is my womb not being inhabitable anymore!

Not familiar with all the terms yet, what's HSG & CAH? I hope your appointment goes well

It has made me so much stronger, and I appreciate everything, even my own life so much more x

I'm technically not a LTTTCer, but I am an assisted conception girlie. I have PCOS, and I've been on clomid for 6 months, and I've been trying for 10 months now. I was only trying for 3 months before I was given clomid, because I don't seem to ovulate on my own.

The HSG is when they inject dye into your uterus to check to see if your tubes are clear...CAH is a much more rare term for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.. It's really complicated and hard to explain.. https://health.google.com/health/ref/Congenital+adrenal+hyperplasia

The doc says if I have it its a very mild form and it would be considered late onset. All this is so frustrating-it's really good to chat with ladies that are having the same hopes and fears! Good luck with all your tests as well hun, I hope they all come back clear :)

Do you ovulate regularly with clomid? (Sorry for being nosey) I just seem to have a problem with getting the eggy to release some months x

Good luck with your test, I hope it comes back clear!

Have you had many tests before this? How did they come to the conclusion that this could be the problem? (I know I ask too many questions, just interested) x

You don't ask too many questions at all! Well I'm currently waiting on another test to rule out the congenital adrenal hyperplasia.. and I've had my normal hormone tests done. It's surprising the HSG has never been ordered before since we've been trying for so long! I guess this was just the next logical step since we know I ovulate normally. I'm extremely relieved just to have it done!! :happydance:

I moved over here at 11 months, after being diagnosed with PCOS. I'm at 14 months now - yippee. Good luck to you though xxxx

I've had two miscarriages. The results from my RMC testing showed that I have Factor V Leiden and I am "not a good ovulator". I am currently on Clomid! Yesterday was the start of cycle 8 since my last m/c.

Hope you get your :bfp: very soon. Good Luck!

What's Factor V Leiden? If you don't mind me asking  Good luck to you too x

It's a genetic mutation thrombophilia. I clot like CRAZY! I never mind when people ask me questions. Knowledge is power my friend. :)
