So LO is 6 months today and the joys of weaning can begin! I was going to offer her some water with meals, in a sippy cup, and obviously I know it has to be cooled boiled water but what temperature do I give it to LO at? Wait for it to cool completely and offer it at room temperature, or put it in the fridge so it's a bit cooler? May be a stupid question but I just know I personally wouldn't like to drink room temperature water :haha: what do you ladies do?

Normally I give it at room temperature but on the warmer days I do keep it in the fridge x

I always serve it cold from the fridge as I'm in the habit of still boiling drinking water for him which I think is technically not necessary after 6 months but we recently had a contamination of our drinking water supply which has shaken me a bit...

So water goes striaght from kettle into sippy cup in fridge to cool ready for next meal.

After 6 months i just gave her tap water, when shes trying to eat the carpet i dident think it would make much difference.

Tap water, he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, even when we're out he'll bend over and try and munch the table :dohh: so I don't see the point.

Tap water or bottled water from the fridge. I don't think you need to boil it at all. I liked to make sure it was quite cold in the first few months so there was a big temperature difference between breastmilk and water so LO didn't drink water instead of BF.
