What time?

Morning all,
I am due to have my hcg trigger shot (pregnyl) today and wondering what time I should have it? Do I have it in the morning or evening? My little follicle was about 15mm yesterday so hoping for a growth spurt overnight and whilst waiting for the release

Hi honey. I don't think it really matters, other than what's going to fit in best with when you can BD.

I was told I should ov 35-36 hours after my shot (5000 units pregnyl). I was also told that sperm need around 10 hours inside you before they are ready to fertilise your egg (for capacitation). So I took my shot about 6pm the Sunday night, bd'd about 7pm the Monday night, ov'd about 6am Tues morning (bd'd again then for good measure!) and it worked for me!

Apparently follies grow 1-2mm a day so you should have some extra growth. Have you had your bloods checked to see the timing looks right?

I took the shot at 6pm on Friday night, BD Friday night and Sunday morning as husband had to go back to where he lives. I am guessing I ovulated on Saturday/Sunday, I had peaks on my cbfm and on digisticks. I also passed HCG in my urine as I POAS on a pregnancy stick just to see 2 lines. I really think I need my head testing!!!

Oh I did that too! Just nice to see those 2 lines isn't it?!

Sorry forgot to say I didn't have any bloods or repeat scans done, my OBGYN has told me to just wait it out until AF shows up. She even told me not to induce my period ready for the next cycle. All of my symptoms have subsided now and there no longer smileys on my OPK nor a second line on my HPTs. I will be testing in now 8 days time, the 2WW is killing me. I really just want to know so that I can move on.
