We're going for our honeymoon for 4 nights at the beginning of Febuary.

Any recommendations on things to do or places to eat?

Oh you have to go the castle. It's amazing!
And the camera obscura it's great with kids.

Have a lovely time. Edinburgh is lovely

Tigerlily for food is a must, tour of the castle , Edinburgh dungeon , there is also the zoo to see the pandas x

The Dungeons are cool. Cramond beach way is lovely for a walk.

What kind of food do you like?

DD is getting left with Granma ;-)

Natasha we like any kind of food.

Lots of great restaurants and bars. Is a great city with many things depending no what you like to do. The royal mile is great, Edinburgh is one of my fave cities, really beautiful with lots of history. Do a tour, the ghost tours are really good

We had a nice dinner at Wildfire when we went - specialises in steak but does other stuff too.

If you want to splash out, try the Witchery, it's an experience, but pricey :)

Iv just had a look at the menu and it doesent really jump out at me. Looks a bit poncy and overpriced

 I cant eat anything there but everyone I know raves about it. i like pub grub

I like good food but half the stuff on the menu comes with some sort of puréed veg, I have teeth thanks.

A good gastro type pub recommendation would be good?

the zoo, dungeons, the castle it a must:)!

The Blue Parrot cantina is amazing for Mexican food. If you like exotic meats there is Kublai Kahn's - it's a Mongolian Barbecue thing, you get to choose all your ingredients then take them to the chef who cooks your food and it gets brought. You also get nice starters and desserts and the cocktails are brill :) xx

I love Khan's!

The spa at the Sheraton is nice for some relaxation time. Or afternoon tea at The Balmoral. Amictus Apple is good for pub food and cocktails if you don't want to spend a fortune or you could book a cocktail making class at The Living Room.
