He has rusk and baby porridge but recently I've given him half a weetabix with porridge instead (he refuses to eat the baby cereals anymore so I have to mix them in lol) what do you give your lo for breakfast?

Normal porridge with fruit purée mixed in
Cereal with whole milk
Fruit
Toast
Scrambled egg on toast
Toasted tea cakes
Toasted muffins
Mushrooms on toast
Cheese on toast
Beans

We tend to include some kind of fruit. Sometimes I pair it with cottage cheese. Apple sauce mixed with cottage cheese works too. Sometimes we do eggs. Other times we don't have great stuff and I just give her what I can find... cheese, hummus, cucumbers, meat.... The typical pattern is fruit and cottage cheese or eggs. As we move into fall, I'll do less fruit since it's not in season.

So I know that beans on toast is a "normal" breakfast item in the UK, so I'm wondering if mushrooms on toast is a "normal" breakfast item where you live. Just curious as I've never heard of someone eating mushrooms on toast.

Yeah mushrooms on toast is normal here and tinned tomatoes on toast, I just don't eat tomatoes unless they're cooked in something, like spag Bol.

We have mushrooms in a baguette with bacon/sausage etc too or in combination on toast with scrambled egg or beans for example. The possibilities are endless :haha:

French toast, boiled egg, a banana, peanut butter sandwich, mini pizza, sticks of cheese, savoury muffin...etc etc. Anything easy really as mornings are busy.
