What reason did the FS give you once they found a reason for your infertility?

I am on first cycle of Clomid and I am curious to know if this helps the follicles grow.

Hi Mabel

Infertility usually has several causes.
I was told that my underlying issues seem to include endometriosis and immune problems, an infection and hormonal imbalances. The infection which caused me to spot quite a lot was treated with a serious antibiotic cure and it helped The endometriosis and immune problem is being addressed with Low Dose Naltrexone (very interesting stuff, you can google it if interested), and the hormonal imbalance is being treated (hopefully succesfully) with good diet, Femara (an alternative to clomid), and progesterone supplement.

PS yes, Clomid is supposed to stimulate follicle growth.

I was unexplained for 15 years as well. I had tests done by my family doctor and tests done by a fertility specialist and the result was unexplained infertility. Last year I went to a fertility clinic who conducted cycle monitoring and my reason was found. If this is something feasible for you guys, I highly recommend it.

I have a mild form of PCOS and Annovulatory bleeding. My DH has a very low sperm count so double the trouble, lol.

We have been TTC to 4 years now. I have been doing off and on fertlility treatments for over a year.

When I undergo my treatments, which I am back on again, I have to take Clomid, Metformin, Vivelle Dot Patches, and have an HCG trigger shot. I am getting ready to put the hubs on Fertility Blend since I hear it boosts up the count and motility.

I also have 37 folicles inside both ovaries which the "normal" amount is 10. So when I do undergo these treatments I drop at least 3 folicles at a time. As in I am fertile mertile when it comes to treatments, lol. Good luck, do not let is discourage you if the first treatments do not help. It is sad but keep your chin up and keep trying.

I too had annovulatory cycles (very sporadic) where I would produce a minimum of 25 follicles that would never grow past .07mm (ideal for a mature egg is .25 as I am sure you know) so an egg was never released (or if one was, it was not a mature egg). I just finished my first ovulatory cycle, I did get a but am extremely excited that everything has run normally for me this cycle, gives me quite a bit of hope after 15 years of hopelessness.

For my first cycle I had to take Provera, then Metformin and Clomid and I actually Ov'd on my own so no need for the trigger

Fx'd that fertility blend helps your DH and we both have January babies

Last month the doctor said I had beautiful mature eggs. Very dissapointing when you start AF though...Usually my cycles are between 26-28 days but when I obsess over it I have went to 35. I try and stay relaxed honestly... I guess that is what happens when you TTC, you expect AF to always come.

I am soooo glad your last cycle ran normally. There is hope That is what you probably need. This month may be your time, Wouldn't that be awesome? My fingers are crossed for you Mabel. You have to keep us posted thats for sure.

We are totally unexplained too-all test results have come back 'excellent' and I have been pregnant before. Seeing FS in 2 weeks again as 3 rounds of clomid later and still no BFP

Yeah, I have 2 FS which are both awesome. They take turns on me, lol. Vivelle Dot Patches are Estrogen patched that you place on your abdomen for 7 days at a time. Since I have PCOS I have higher Testosterone levels. I swear every time I am on those you would think I am pregnant because I cry over everything. I was like, is this how it feels to be a real woman, lol, I don't like it at all.

Hi I had been TTC number 2 after 7 years of trying. The hospital tests stopped 4 years ago after I was told I wasnt ovulating. Physically everything was good but my hormones were out of kilter. Clomid was offered but I declined with the reason being that I didn't know how I would cope if it didn't work. So I gave up (in my head at least.) Back in January this year i finally put the ghost of having another baby to bed- I changed work commitments so I could work more. My daughter is growing up and going to high school so she needs me less. Then a month later I got a BFP. 7 years of not using any birth control what so ever ladies and I got pregnant. Very pleased but gosh the wait has been so long. X x good luck to all of you

tiffy0485 - too funny, I also have higher then normal testosterone, which my DH loved because my sex drive was high but since we have been TTC, my sex drive dimished and I just tell my DH... well I am now a real woman!!!

I was unexplained for 5 years - until we had our first go ivf just recently (this alone can be diagnosis more than treatment sometimes) I was going through ivf with perfect results they took 17 eggs but the next day they found our problem and it was that my eggs were not maturing & were bad quality (even though my FSH was only 4.6) to be able to be fertilised, luckily 2 made it and had them put back and just got a bfp. Dont give up!
