I think nude or wood is a lovely color with it. Personally, I'd avoid something 'clunky' and go for something more delicate on the feet as the material at the bottom is delicate and I'd be concerned heavier footwear would draw the eyes there too much. A little sparkle, rhinestones, etc. would really dress it up more as well so that's a good idea too.
