Just to say to all the women whos OHs hate their name choices, never give up hope. My OH said there was absolutely no way in Hell he would ever name his child Charlie and we had the names Thomas and Isaac picked out. Then when he was born we looked at him and he just didn't look like an Isaac, or a Thomas... And OH says I hate to admit it but he looks like a Charlie hahaha. Plus, for your OH watching you give birth (especially the first time) is such a special thing (and seeing you probably in pain at times yet still looking like a queen to them) so for a good couple of hours afterwards (and maybe a couple of days if you're really lucky) they'll probably agree to any request haha. Worth a try x x

I let my OH influence my namechoice with my first one. I would never do it again. To me he has no saying what so ever about names.
 
Miguel or Lucas or Matteo if a boy
Isabelle, Danielle or Mikaela if a girl

We're only going to have one name coz my husband and I have both super loong surnames! Lol! :dohh:

Dont want our child to have difficulty writing his/her full name, so we'll keep it short and sweet

Im excited to use the names! Hope we get pregnant sooooon!
 
Danny i just love it cause its so old skool and not used much anymore! i think a lil boy running around called danny is the cutest!
 
I love the name Harrison and i was going to call Ellie that if she was a boy.I fell in love with it because i like the name Harry,but i thought Harrison was just that little bit different.My OH hated it though,so luckily we had a girl. x
 
Definitely Harrison, I think it's such a strong name with a lot of nickname possibilities so it grows well and it's my son's name :)
 
niall and yestin but OH doesn't like either so looks like the search continues .... he kind of said a yes to Caerwyn but not sure.

we are calling our baby if it is a boy Daniel we both just agreed on that name for a boy but are having trouble with girls names we like Hannah or Chloe but i like Matilda, Martha. Florence can't have that tho as we have a cat called flo.But husband has said he don't like them

I like Rowan as well and Oliver has been growing on me recently.. again, no reason why! I quite like Ollie as a nickname though :)
 
One of my friends has a son called Brae (pronounced bray) I really like it!
 
I have a few favourites..

My first pick would most likely be Noah, but unfortunately an awful girl who I went to highschool with has recently had a little boy and named him that so there goes that idea!

My DP and I don't agree on 99% of the names each other suggests, so it makes things very tricky..

Other names I like are:
Elijah
Lukas
Gabriel - we were going to use this one, as it was something we actually agreed on (lo and behold!) but have had so many negative, immature comments it's put us right off...:[ Starting to wish we'd never told anybody!
Rohan (or Rowan, but I prefer the h to the w spelling)
Emmett
Leo - unfortunately my accent and this name do not agree, so out it goes... plus middle name will be Leonard after DP's granddad
Liam
Findlay
Quinlan
Aden

I am very keen to name our pending son Oliver - love this name and love the nickname Ollie, but DP is constantly poo-pooing it. It's his middle name, so he really should like it, but go figure. I reasoned that he gets the middle and last names, so why can't I choose the first name? :) I prefer Oliver over anything else, really, not quite sure why.

DP on the other hand likes Floyd. It's cool and everything, but I just imagine "Floyd" going for a flashy job interview 20 years down the line...can't quite take that image seriously :lol: Any opinions on this name would be loved - also any suggestions for names to go with middle name Leonard :D
