My 4 and a half month old is going through a pretty big developmental leap and just doesn't know what to do with himself during the day! Nothing I have seems to entertain him for very long and he doesn't seem to have that one toy that he LOVES!

So what's your baby's favourite toy/thing to do, and how old is he/she?

12 weeks: Floor gym, bouncer chair, mobiles, cuddly frog that croaks, anything with lights, anything with unusual sounds

Fave thing to do: Staring at our faces, listening to songs, baby massage, hitting hanging toys, being carried facing outwards

DS is almost four months and at the moment he just won't be entertained for longer than 10 minutes! We just got him a snug seat with a play tray which he really likes. He also likes one of his activity bar things where you pull the toys to make the music play. Other toys he likes are his teething rattle keys and peekaboo with a muslin which he also likes to cuddle. Anything small and light enough to pick up and chew on!

Rainbow, sounds like we are in the same boat! It's exhausting constantly thinking what next!! Thanks for the ideas.

Lucas is 5 months old now and his favourite toy is lamaze Freddie the firefly but he much prefers to just roll over and go on his hands and knees and try to get the packet of baby wipes

Between about 3-5 months he absolutley loved the lamaze rainbow glow rattle it really helped with his teething to and seemed really easy for him to grab, pick up nd put in his mouth

Lamaze freddy the firefly and captain calamari

Plastic links

Rainmaker

Baby gym

Her brother and general people watching.

Also I find she likes just being carted round the house while I do jobs. She loves sitting in front of the washing machine and watching me hang stuff on the airer.

DD2 will be 6 months in a week. Her favorite toy is a plush elephant with teether rings attached to it.

At 4/5 months, my daughter didn't really have any favourite toys. She really just wanted to be carried around looking at things or wriggle around on the floor trying to crawl (which she started doing at 5 months!).

I think my son was mostly interested in the playgym and books at that age. He would sit for about two hours while you passed a parade of books in front of him.

I found the best toy ever in a charity shop yesterday abs he adores it! It's a fisher price thing with foot pads at the base... When he kicks lights flash above his head, things spin and music plays for a little bit and stops until he kicks again. Amazing!

Our boys love the Lamaze sensory toys. They chew on them, pull the rings, and can stare at the colors for a really long time. I highly recommend them!

19 weeks now and he loves being given tea towels, sponges or anything with an interesting texture to shove in his mouth! Rattles and cuddly toys are still popular. Floor gym and Jumperoo massively enjoyed. Loves being read books. Not too fussed about his expensive Lamaze toys... typical!

Lamaze sensory toys. Our twin boys can play with them endlessly! Freddie the Firefly is their favorite. Happy playtime!

I should also add that they love Winkles. Their little hands can hold on to them easily and they like to roll around with them. We have lots of other favorites too. The whole list is here. Enjoy! https://www.theydontfeedthemselves.com/newborn-twin-baby-product-must-haves/
