Does anyone know how soon you can tell the sex of your baby. I have my last ultrasound tommorow (at 18 weeks) and was wondering if that is to soon to tell what the sex is.
Basically it amounts to the sonogropher, how good they are, and how good they can see the private parts.
In other words, it's not always going to be a certain percentage at any given week. As the author of the article states, even at 28 weeks he has had difficulty assessing gender.
But in general the author notes around 80% success in identifying gender from 12 to 16 weeks, and upwards of 95% beyond that.
You CAN tell form 16 weeks - not that long ago the 20 week scan did not exist and it was a 16 weeks scan, which they would sex your baby at if you asked, I know as I had it, and I had a girl which they told me I would have So 18 weeks will be fine hun, just as long as baby co-operates! x
