I still haven't gone out alone with LO and his month now, each time we've been out it was with the help of OH, now that it's snowing here in the UK I don't think me and LO will be going on the walks I planned :/

I took my LO just me and her when she was a week old ( walking to supermarket and back ) and driving 2weeks old as we walked everywhere the first week.

I loved it :) x

First time I went out with lo without oh was when she was 15days old and I was petrified! X

we first went out week three! for the first week, my DH really did a lot of looking after us, second week, he backed off a bit, third week, he was outside doing jobs and things while i looked after LO most of the time but i did ask for help with some stuff. I was a bit panicked that i would never be able to get thru a day without him and certainly not be dressed and ready to go out before lunch time, so we had a day in week three where i had to pretend like DH wasn't there at all, and i wasn't allowed to ask for any help (but of course if i had a major melt down he would be there!) and we coped just fine :-)

it was also week three were i decided to commit myself to always getting up on LO's second cry in the night - which usually around 5am. Then when he went back to sleep i would get on with getting myself ready, cleaning, washing, getting bag ready etc etc and eventually we were up and ready to go out at about 8am!!

our first outing along was only a short walk to the shops though - but once you have done it once, the confidence it gives you is a real boost, and then u want to do it again, and push your self a bit more. I even panicked about how i would get through a shop door with the pram without looking like a total idiot, but again, once you manage it, it just gives you a massive boost!

I first went out alone with LO when he was 5 days old, I got the train to my mums because we had blocked drains and sewage was overflowing into our garden. I didn't want him near that and couldn't get a lift. After that I took him out for a walk or to the Childrens centre quite often. He was born in July though, I don't think I would have taken him out for walks if the weather was like it is now.

why won't you go alone? I been going out alone soon as Mr went back to work from paternity leave.
I adore it pushing the pram or using the wrap.

It's scary the first time you go out on your own with them, but you'll soon get used to it! My daughter was born in the heavy snow of 2009 and I just wrapped her up warm, put on my snow boots and used to walk into town with the pram (only about a ten minute walk). I stared to go to baby groups when she was about two weeks old. With my son I was out when he was two days out, but it's different second time around!

The first time I went out without OH with LO was when she was 5 1/2 wks old. I'd had a c-section so couldn't drive so a friend picked me up and took me to meet up with the other mummies and babies from our NCT group. Was a bit nervous but had a lovely time :)

It is a bit daunting taking LO out to begin with but soon you learn to get organised and time driving between feeds. I find I like to go for a walk somewhere and go to a cafe to feed LO and have a drink. I usually meet up with friends or go to see family. She's a sociable little flower :baby:

Just a bit scared of taking him out in this weather as his still really young x

13 days old and I was a nervous wreck about it! If the weather is that awful then don't be worried about going out. But once the weather is better do get out. It helped my confidence loads!

LO was 9 days old the first time I left the house with him since coming home. We went to lunch :haha: I've tried to avoid going out without my DH because 2 kids is a bit overwhelming to run around with. But I've started getting cabin feverish so I'm trying to get out and about at least a couple times a week. Been out twice since yesterday - go me! :haha:

I don't worry too much about the weather... I just bundle him up really well. He's in his carseat though, so that makes it a bit easier.

I went out alone with my daughter at two weeks(: I think it's best to 'bite the bullet' because the longer you leave it the harder it may be.

I haven't gone out alone with LO either. Not sure what I'm afraid is going to happen it just seems really daunting. Plus, it takes forever to get both of us ready to go anywhere, so I just stay home. I know I need to bite the bullet or I'm going start feeling trapped and depressed that I can't handle my LO...

Me & OH took baby out at 2 days old, I really cant remember whow old he was when i went out with him on my own would of been around same time as you too.

I took LO out on my own when she was 2 days old. We went to drop my son off at toddler preschool - he walked and I had her in the carrier! x I go out with them almost every day.

Took LO out right away but with my DH. I haven't gone out alone with him yet at 2 weeks because I don't yet have the strength or energy to do so by myself. Husband has to carry him and the carseat for me. xx

aww bless mine is only few weeks older than yours.
I just made sure he was nice & snug & went about my business.
I found it far scarier being in house alone with him at first so was out every day for hours on end with him tucked up in pram.
