My boy is 8 weeks old and drinks about 25 oz a day. He's probably about 11 lbs now.

I'm wondering when his Feeding amounts will level off? He's gone from starting at 15 oz to 25 oz a day in the last 8 weeks. Will he still continue to increase his feedings? And for how much longer? I figure he's got to start eating a set amount at somE point? We are using 5 oz bottles and rarely he's eaten 6 oz at one feeding but usually only eats 4 oz at a time. I'm wondering if it's time to buy 10 oz bottles now? Or will he continue with mostly 4-5 oz feedings?

Hi hun. Omar never went for more than 7 oz per feed. His max was 24 oz at 4 mnths. At 8 weeks he was having 5-6 feeds 3-4 oz each. He was 12 lbs at 8 weeks. At 12 weeks he was on 4 feeds one every 4 hrs 4-6 oz each & he was sleeping through for 12-13 hrs with no feeds at night. We only have 8 oz bottles since he was 3 mnths old xx

My LO was on 4 x 9oz bottles per day from 9/10 weeks, and never increased from that.

I think it's unusual for LO's to take a full 9oz, the majority take a maximum of 7-8oz in one go.

My LO takes 4-6 oz about 6-7 times a day and has since 8 weeks. He hasn't needed to have an increase in the amount in 3 weeks.

I'd still buy a larger set of bottles just in case. Eventually, he will need more formula and the smaller bottles won't be of use (unless you make snack bottles). Plus, if you use the larger bottles, you can still mix smaller amounts of formula in them.
