I thought I went pretty much soon after my bfp with my DS, but have been reading that some docs don't want to see you til you are about 6 weeks.

I will be 6 weeks when we're on holiday so will be 7 time I get back to go to the docs, will this matter? Or should I go in week 5?:dohh:

another question is - when it's your second pregnancy do you ever get back or get to see the record book you used with your first pregnancy - I was so hoping you got to keep that after the birth. I wish I had had the chance to read what the midwife was writing all through my labour and birth!

As far as your first question i feel the same way it seeps like i had an appt with the DR a week after getting my first bfp with my first we i am either 6 or 7 weeks and my first appt is today at 2pm so im not sure!! As far as getting your record book i don't know how things work where you are but i called up about a month after Valerie was born and requested to have my records sent to me if they ask what for tell em personal use b/c if its for anything else they will try to charge you per sheet!!!! Good luck and heck make an appt before you go on holidays so you wont be all stressed out!!

You shouldn't need to see the codtor at all anymore you can arrange the booking in appt with the midwife directly. That's what happens in my area now anyway.

Oh - I have moved areas since having my DS so not sure what happens here. I may just call the surgery and ask what they do! There is a lovely nurse practitioner their whom I saw when I first come off the pill and she said to keep her posted.

I went as soon as I got my BFP, and was told I'd done right. I guess each and every area is different.

Congratulations anyway...

I would think you got intouch with the midwife directly i think most places sort it out that way now but just phone and ask.

I went at 6 weeks and they basically told me to come back at 8 weeks unless I miscarry before then (needless to say I was P***ed at his attitude and won't be going back to see that particular GP )
