when does it become ltttc?

My one year is in a couple weeks and suffered one loss. I don't want to say I am ltttc if I'm not. When do you consider it long term?

I would say 2 years!

I'd say about a year and a half...but I don't think anyone can put a time stamp on it really

I remember how upset I was when I was TTC for a year...it seemed so impossible and I felt like an eternity had gone by already!!!

I honestly hope that you don't have another "TTC anniversary" ever

I thought the common understanding was 1 year.

I know the medical profession consider "infertility" to be after a year of trying, but I don't think anyone could really put a time stamp on it either. I felt like a year was forever too, but obviously from other posts people think 3 months or 6 months is ltttc. But then there are those who have been trying for 5 or 10 years, or those that have been trying for 3 and don't think it's that long. It's a personal opinion I think really, and I'm sure everyone feels differently depending on how long they have been trying.

LTTC: 35 and over trying for over 6 months.
Under 35 trying actively for a year.

NTNP doesn't count and TTC for 3 months is certainly NOT LTTC. So I would give it a few more weeks till your 1 year mark and then you'll be LTTC. Unfortunately.

Thanks ladies. My file says ntnp but we are actively TTC for a year on may 21.

I moved over to lttc when I hit the 1 year mark, main reason for this was because it took me 2 years 3 months to conceive my daughter so I kind of new I would be in here for a while, otherwise I probably wouldn't have as I know there are plenty of other ladies who have been ttc a hell of a lot longer than me. xx
