When there is a temp dip on BBT chart does that mean ovulation has occurred or is about to occur?

When there is a temp rise does that mean ovulation has happened and it happened sometime between taking the temp with the dip and taking the temp with the rise?

I got a positive opk yesterday morning and then my temp has gone down today. Does that mean I will ovulate some point today assuming I get a temp rise tomorrow?

I bd in the middle of the night 7 hours before I got my positive opk and then bd again this morning half an hour after temp went down. Do you think i may be ok as I can't BD tonight x

Usually temperature only shows ovulation after its happened, and yes its a dip then a spike in temps that are sustained for at least three days, looking that you had a positive opk its sounds like ovulation could be today, and i think you have covered yourselves with the BD :) good luck x

Ovulation can occur

1. In ADVANCE of multiple LH peaks
2. At the ONSET/ DURING a single LH peak
3. AFTER a single LH peak
4. In BETWEEN multiple LH peaks
