I know you shouldn't worry about hcg as long as they are doubling every 2 days. They have been until today. Here are all my hcg levels up to today.

Hcg levels
7/2/13 4w5d: 732
7/4/13 5w0d: 2043
7/6/13 5w2d: 5290
7/8/13 5w4d: 8794

My nurse said this is still okay. However I'm still a bit worried as I thought it didn't slow down until after 10,000.

Thanks

Sorry I can't help too much but I tried to google and it says nothing about the actual #....it just says anywhere between 8-11 weeks tapers off and declines.... So don't worry about the actual number!!

Yeah I know. It's hard not to worry.
But if she says the numbers are rising nicely I guess I should take her word for it.

they supposed to double ever 36-72 hours...and do slow down as you get further along and the placenta takes over

Hi hun

your numbers are great. HCG doubling rates slow down once they reach 1200 and then again at 6000!

NORMAL HCG DOUBLING TIMES

HCG Level DOUBLING TIME EXPECTED
Under 1,200 mIU/ml Between 30 and 72 Hours
1200-6000 mIU/ml Between 72 and 96 Hours
Over 6,000 mIU/ml Over 96 Hours

hCG levels rise during the first 6 to 10 weeks of pregnancy then decline slowly during the second and third trimesters.

As your pregnancy develops, the increase slows down significantly. Between 1,200 and 6,000 mIU/ml serum, the hCG usually takes about 72-96 hours to double, and above 6,000 mIU/ml, the hCG often takes over four or more days to double.
