hi mummys i was wondering when you all started weaning you babys? all the health visitors say different so im a litlle confused lol:wacko:

Six months. Seriously, it's such a faff I wouldn't start any earlier than I had to

I waited until 6 months (yesterday for us) xx

It's 4 months minimum, recommended 6 months though. I waited until 6 months.

There is so much conflcting information out there that the general jist is at some point between 4-6 months, though the closer to the 6 month mark the better :)

We started weaning at 20 weeks. My Lo was ready, so we took it slowly. Few spoonfuls of porridge each day and we're slowly going up with the amounts each week. He loves his food and seems alot more contented since he started. Every baby is different only you know when your baby is ready. Good luck :)

We had to begin now (about 11 days before the recommended 26 weeks), she just started waking up more and more frequently during the night and demanding her booby. And I am glad that we started! She is able to feed herself and is enjoying the new foods. Not much gets to her tummy yet, lol, but I can see the evidence in the nappy. We are BLW-ing, but may have to modify, depends on Lexi.
