Hey everyone this is my first time on here so I give you a little info about me. We started TTC 1 year and before for that the only from of BC we ever used was the pull out method for 4 years. I'm 23 and he is 25 we are both healthy and active people. Over the past year of TTC I have charted always getting my period on day 28 and ovulating on day 15 give or take a day. Two times though over the year my period was 1 week late and when it did come it was the most pain my body has ever felt cold sweets, heat flashes woke me up in the middle of the night and large clots of blood. I test nag. both times my period was late. So I'm wondering when is it ok to go to the doctor for TTC help in my case because I know I'm still young and last time I motioned to my doctor it was taking us long time to conceive her just blow me off. Any feed back would mean the world to me!!

They say that if you haven't conceived in a year to see a doc for under 35 years old. They should take you very seriously this time and if they don't you need to find someone else that will. I'd recommend seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist if possible. Obgyns are great for maintenance, birth control and after you get pregnant but I've found they are very little help in getting you pregnant. Good luck! Hope it's an easy fix!

After a year of ttc with no luck it is time to see the doc. I think you need to find a new provider who will listen to you.

Are you temping? If not, I highly recommend starting. It can help alleviate quite a few issues like confirming ovulation, pinpointing the date, measuring LP.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my post it meant a lot to me!!! I wish you the best in your ttc journey:)

Not a problem!

I agree! If your dr is not listening to you then it's time to see a new dr. A year of ttc with no luck is enough time for them to take it seriously

I think you need to check it out. I'm 26 and in a similar boat...well, I've only just started *really* trying, but we started in November...I just got AF...so sad. But when it comes to the one year mark, I'm DEFINITELY getting checked!!!

I was in a similar situation. My doctor didn't want to talk to me when I was on cycle 11 of trying because it hadn't been a year yet, even though my cycles are short. I finally went in to a different doctor at the one year/15 cycle point for me, and she was so much better! It's only been six weeks since that visit and I've already seen the specialists and begun all the various testing and met with the specialist again to discuss options. If you feel like you should have conceived by now, definitely find a doctor that is willing to help you.
