When to inform HMRC about new Job?

After 11 months of non stop applying for jobs, I have finally managed to get one

My starting date is 26th January and my son will also be starting nursery in this date. I currently get child tax credits and hubby gets working tax credits, the nursery fees are £94pw and according to the HMRC tax credits calculator I should get around £96pw in tax credits.

I was just wandering how long it will take for HMRC to change my details and pay me (because I need to pay the nursery) what information I need to give them when I ring and also when do I need to ring them?

I would ring them as soon as possible as they can take a few weeks to process things.
