I know what "cycle day" you are supposed to take it but it's impossible for me to tell since I don't have periods. I haven't had one in 4 years now and before that from the time I started I only had one maybe two a year. Yes abnormal but I do have a perfectly healthy baby boy who is 2 years old and when I got pregnant with him I hadn't had a period for about a year.

I am ttc my second and have talked to my(and multiple) ob's and my fertility specialist but since I don't have periods which on paper is abnormal they are practically no help. They keep pointing me in the direction of ivf ... I don't know where to turn or what to do because clearly I can have children.

I have been on provera 4 times. I've been on estradiol. I've been on birth control. You name it I've done it. All blood tests are normal. All levels are normal. I just think my ovulation is all over the place so being put on clomid will let me know when I can test to see if I am ovulating at all.

A couple weeks ago I started taking ovulation tests daily to see if/when I ovulate. So far nothing but it's only been a couple of week.

Okay so basically long story short if you don't want to read all of that haha. I'm wondering when to take clomid without knowing your cycle days and other tips you have for a situation like mine. Thanks for any help..

Did they not give you anything to induce a period? I was given something to start a period before taking the Clomid x

If you have not had a period in such a long time you will need to induce a period before starting clomid. you want a healthy uterus to start a pregnancy not one in which the lining has been built up for years. to induce your period try parsley tea https://www.sisterzeus.com/delayedmen.htm

They did. Multiple things. In the first sentence of the third paragraph those are some of the things I tried. That's the issue. I can't have a period (never been able to) so I'm just at a loss

If you can't have a period then any infertility interventions won't work unfortunately. Clomid only works certain days soon after your period. The Drs need to figure out why you're not having a period because if you're not having a period you're not ovulating therefore the necessary hormones to thicken and strengthen your lining aren't going to be there. There is a big underlying issue not having a period in 4 years. You could keep taking ovulation tests but who knows how long it will be before you see a positive even if at all.
So basically until you have a period you can't take any fertility drugs since they are based on certain cycle days. I suppose your dr could look at your bloodwork and if your estrogen is low (under 50) and progesterone under one and no follicle growth then they could make the assumption you're at a certain day but guessing is likely to not work.
Do you have pcos or signs that would suggest so? I hope one of your Drs can figure it out.

I wanted to add make sure they check your Amh levels which tell about ovarian reserve. You may have early ovarian failure which is the reason for no periods.

Or PCOS which is the cause of my lack of periods.

I said that in the post before if you read through it at the end. There are several causes of no periods which I think the Drs need to investigate further before clomid and such. Hopefully they can straighten things out so you can have #2.

My estrogen is at a 30, so very low.but that's all they said. They didn't tell me what to do or give me anything for it. And no I don't have pcos.
I'm not sure if they've done my amh levels but I'm sure they have considering how many blood tests I've had in the last year.
But how did I have a baby before then?? That's why I'm so confused. I was in the same situation I am in now but I got pregnant just fine before so why would it be different now??

I'm not sure. You obviously ovulated then. Were you trying then? Did you take ovulation tests? For some reason your ovaries aren't being stimulated and they need to figure out why. 4 years is a long time with no period. I would ask if they have checked your Amh levels. What was your most recent fsh? What's your age if you don't mind me asking?

Also have them check prolactin if not already and have them check thyroid panel which I'm sure they have but make sure.

I agree with MoBaby.

I don't know if this will help you as you don't have PCOS, but I took bee pollen (capsule form) which helped to bring on a period and kept me semi regular after not having a period of around two years. It's maybe worth a shot.

Have they done any scans how thick is your lining? Do you have any cysts that could be pumping out hormones?

I would go back and ask for referral to gynie before taking drugs which are highly unlikely to work.
