When to test for Ov and when to have sex??

Hi

I am currently on CD8 of my first cycle after stopping the pill.
I intend to use Clearblue opk's but what day should i start testing (i dont want to waste too many tests as they are expensive)?
I dont know how long my cycle will be as this is my first one.
Also when i get a flashing smiley on the opk when should i have sex and once i have solid smiley whens best to have sex then?

If you know your cycles and IF they are pretty regular you can test usually Cd10 on.
For example my cycles are clockwork and my opk's are pos cd 12 through 15 sometimes so to not waste any ill do one before 12 then 2 a day till they get darker.
