I started feeling my little boy move almost two weeks ago. But only right after meals and when I am still. It's pretty amazing and I'm enjoying it immensely. My husband has started this night time ritual of putting his hand on my belly and just kind of waiting for him to move. I know he really wants to and every night he tries a little bit longer. I'm twenty one weeks and have an anterior placenta. I know I'm not going to be into other people touching me but I'd like to give my sweet husband a time frame to start feeling him move. He is being so sweet and cute but I know he is looking forward to it. So when did you feel movement from the outside? I feel him so clearly from the inside that I think you can feel him kick but so far nothing.

With my first the placenta was anterior but my OH felt the baby kick at 21 weeks, was a few weeks after that he felt the baby kicking again. So its down to timing :) This pregnancy the placenta is posterior but again he felt the baby kick at 21 weeks :) shouldn't be much longer for your OH now x

Shouldn't be too long, but if you've got a baby anything like ours it stops moving as soon as my I tell my husband it's moving!!

I have an anterior placenta and my OH couldn't feel her move until about 23 weeks, so it shouldn't be too much longer :)

it depends! By this time in my other pregnancies, baby was kicking my front so hard that my partner could feel it very often. This time, my partner has barely felt a flutter.

With my first, We couldn't feel movements from the outside until 23 weeks. With my second and this one, 19-20 weeks.

Thanks so much for the feedback. He has become this incredibly excited dad to be. And I am really loving sharing these moments with him. I keep coming into the room while he is browsing through the latest ultrasound pictures and I caught him going through my collection of baby clothes. It's sweet and I didn't really think he would be like this.

This is sooooooo sweet <3

It can be so tough for SOs to feel baby! My husband didn't feel our first until week 23-24, but this time he felt our little girl at week 18, since he knew what he was looking for (And was much more patient this time lol!)

<3 that's really sweet he is so excited about bubs! I have an anterior placenta but also low-lying. Felt movement for the first time right before 14 weeks and regularly around 15 weeks. I think that OH was able to feel movements from the outside around 18 or 19 weeks, but I only figured that out because I felt my own hand move when the baby kicked.

I think I have gotten the baby used to hands pressing on the belly from the outside

Maybe when you are eating have OH put his hand on your belly and press in a little bit. If it is just resting there I've noticed that OH might not be able to feel even the bigger kicks. So have him push on your tummy lightly with his palm whenever you eat or drink some cold water and wait. Some times it will take a little bit, other times it will be instantly!

This is my second and have been feeling definate movement since 12 weeks husband been feeling kicks at 16 weeks! Forst time he didnt until 20 weeks x
