Which Car Seat are you using and why???

Just wanted as many opinions as possible into what car seat to get for my 10 month old (9kg).
We currently use the maxi cosi cabriofix with the easifix base which has been an excellent seat and dont think ill find one as good, the other thing is "forward facing or rear facing. Ive heard bad things about forward facing seats but there seems to be 10 x more forward facing seats than any other.
When i look i always seem to end up at maxi cosi, but there must be other seats just as good or better?

What facing seat are you using and why is it a good seat?

We're still using the cybex Aton group 0 car seat, my LO is 9 months and I think he has a few months left in it yet. I'm almost certain I'm going to get the britax first class plus next, it's rear facing up to 13kg then ff up to 18kg which is about aged 4. Good compromise between safety of rf and price of ff (were gonna need at least 2 car seats)

It's both forward and rear facing although we have it as a forward facing one now. It's easy to clean, comfy and sturdy. Boo is very happy in it and because it reclines, if she falls asleep she's not got a floppy head .

Try before you buy that's the only advice i've got

My brothers GF is a carseat expert at mothercare and this was the safest FF seat. I did want to RF, but it wasn't possible in our car (long seat belt buckles). With this seat if you have an impact the child goes down into the seat and does not jolt forward in the seat. It also has ISOFIX, which is what I wanted for the next stage carseat too.

Me personally would not go for any other seat other than britax.
